Item as described. The listing is a bit confusing though. The two wraps I received were not the same size. One was 8 1/4" and the other 7 1/2". Not a bad thing. The longer one works well with my 8 string guitar and 6 string bass. The shorter one works well with my 6 string guitars and 4 string basses. Just have to figure out which one will work best with my 7 string guitar. Here's the good stuff: These wraps have some serious, heavy duty velcro. I purchase these to replace some Gruv Gear fret wraps several years ago (one small and one large) that crapped out on me. I used the large one maybe 100 times and the small one perhaps 20 times. The velcro has become virtually useless and both will barely remain on my guitars/bssses. These Saphue fret wraps secure firmly to the headstock. And unless these experience a massive fail, they will last for many years/uses to come. Totally satisfied. ... show more

They mute and do what is needed but were both a little large for my smaller neck guitars. If you have a wide neck or C style guitar neck, these will probably fit your guitar better. That being said, it did for me what was needed and actually the fuzz section was a little thicker than expected so it does a pretty good job at muting the strings. They slide down a little sometimes but I'll just tuck these under the strings above the nut to get the mute that is needed. 2nd pair I used behind the tail piece of the bridge and it works there great as well! Won't help your playing but does mute what I'm trying to mute. Also when recording and playing a solo with no open strings, this slides down easily enough to mute any open strings, which is a time-saver. Good deal! ... show more

These are nice but the cloth that is sweon to the pad needs to be firmer in quality to make these last longer and be more mutting efficient
