  • Very slim mount, works great with a heavy but thin TV
Extremely thin mount, but very strong and easy to install. This mount is holding an LG 98UB980V, which is about 120lb. Although getting the TV onto the mount was tricky, just because the TV was so heavy, once mounted it looks very good. You have to make sure your TV has NOTHING poking out backwards, otherwise it will rub against the wall. There really is NO clearance on the back side, but that makes the integration that much better. Check your TV first, and you will have no problems with this mount. ... show more

  • A nearly perfect product; looks great with a thin TV
I bought this to install a 2013 55" Samsung LED TV. Everything went great and it looks great on the wall. The big features here are: -sturdy construction and all hardware included -very low profile (9/16"), -micro leveling adjustments once on the wall -'kickstands' to prop the TV out while installing cables, -good horizontal sliding adjustability (~12" on a 55" TV) Some minor CONS: -there are no holes in the center of the horizontal bracket for centering over a stud; (I added my own without trouble using a simple cordless drill and a regular wood bit), -the kit includes hardware to accommodate many TV types. Samsung TVs use M8 bolts in the back and the kit included 16mm and 45mm versions... one was too short, one too long. (I went to hardware store and bought four M8x25mm bolts for $1.25 and everything fit great.) -you can only adjust the height once mounted by maybe 3" on a 55" TV ------- All in all, this is a great product that I highly recommend to accent a thin new TV ... show more

  • Awesome mount, one caveat
I bought this mount to hang a 55" Samsung U55D8000 3D TV. It looks AWESOME on the wall. Overall, the mount is a high quality product. The actual mouning process is very straight forward, but you do have to spend some time reading and perusing all the instructions first. Why? Because the actual installation instructions are pictures, virtually absent of any written, step-by-step instructions. Once you go through the pictures in steps and ascertain what is going to need to happen and when, then the process is very straight forward and simple. One warning though: Sanus provides you with a small hardware stores worth of different sizes of screws and spacers etc. The problem for me was that only two sets were the right thread and diameter for my television, but neither were the correct length!! The two sets were either too short, and wouldn't bite into the hole when used with a necessary washer, and the other set were too long and not able to be screwed in all the way because they bottomed out in the receiving holes on the television before being tight! So, after ensuring that I had the time and all I needed to hang my television, I had to stop and go down to the hardware store with both sets of "wrong" screws and find some in between the short ones and the long ones. They are metric and stainless steel. Luckily, I found what I needed, but at that point was pretty aggravated with Sanus for not providing me with the right size screws for my television, even though I had gone to Sanus.com first and used their online tool for determining which mount I needed based on my specific model and brand of television. Overall, despite this aggravating experience, I'm glad I bought this mount. It went up with relative ease, it's very slim and my television looks like a large, thin, picture hanging on the wall, and it's very sturdy and solid. The pop-out feature for cable access works great, but I do recommend that you attach most, if not all of your cables to the TV before hanging it. It's just a lot easier. You won't be disappointed in this mount at all, just set aside an afternoon, take your time, and be prepared for the possibility of having to make a run to the hardware store. Otherwise, you won't be sorry with the outcome. ... show more

  • Easy to setup, but....
This was very easy to setup and attached to the TV. The only complaint is that that the wall anchor holes are not really set will for 16" centered studs, which are standard in most US homes.

  • From Fiver Stars to Do Not Buy - with one small change
I'm a huge fan of Sanus. They have well designed, easy to install, good performing wall mounts. This is the sixth Sanus wall mount I've purchased in the past ten years, not counting mounts purchased for work or recommended to friends. I bought this exact same model about six months ago for my new living room TV and it lived up to expectations, easily a five star product. I just purchased another of the same model for a new television in the office and Sanus made one simple change that ruined the experience. Previously they've included hex-head lag bolts to mount the frame to the wall. The hex head bolts are easy to screw into the wall studs using a socket wrench or a crescent wrench. The new mount that I bought replaced those bolts with socket head bolts and nicely included the hex bit needed. Unfortunately the hex socket is too small for the amount of torque needed to drive into wall studs and the hex bit is made out of cheap, soft metal. I got three of the four bolts into the wall but the last bolt stripped out, ruining both the bolt and the driver bit, leaving the bolt only half-driven into the wall. Because I couldn't get purchase on the bolt, I had to tear it out of the wall with a small sledge and a large pry bar, which made quite a mess of the wall. Fortunately I had spare lag bolts on hand but for the average homeowner, this would have halted the project. Sanus may have saved a few pennies by switching to the new wall mount screws but by using poorly designed, cheaply made parts they ruined what is otherwise a well-designed, high quality product. This new version of the wall mount is a "Do not buy" - or if you do buy it, go to the local hardware store and get some proper lag bolts to mount it to the wall... ... show more

  • Low profile mount
I liked the low profile of this mount. Our new TV is only one inch thick and I wanted it close to the wall. The TV is only a 50” so the mount is very strong for this TV.
