Our family enjoys camping trips and driving to lake and mountains for outdoor activities. We decided to get this 270 degree awning for our SUV to up our camping and outdoor living experience and we could not be happier with it. Please note that your SUV will need a roof rack with cross bars installed in order to be able to mount this awning, which is quite long and heavy. It comes with mounting bracket that can be installed on the cross bars on the roof rack and you will definitely need a helping hand(s) and ladder to install it. It was delivered inside a box with very good packaging. I could not believe how heavy the box was but I wasn't surprised when I opened it and saw the quality and craftmanship of the awning and material. Once mounted and securely installed on the roof rack on the car, it's truly very easy open and set up the awning that will provide shades 270 degrees around the car for relaxing time away from UV and rain! All the parts are inside the zippered storage bag, which is mounted on the roof rack and after opening the zipper, you simply fold out the unit around the car. The retractable poles can be folded out from the awning itself then extended to provide support around the awning, which can withstand the strong wind. I love that it also has a built-in LED lights, which is provides lights at night with option to switch to orange light, which apparently does not attract bugs (perhaps they are color-blind?). It would have been awesome if there was an option to attach mosquito net on the awning so that we can stay under the awning at night with the lights on without having to worry about bug bites. I'm hoping that they will make the mosquito mesh net attachment in the future as they have few other add-ons for this awning. Having this awning opened around my car was amazing at the camp ground. We moved the picnic table under the awning and instantly got cool shaded area to sit down and eat when there were no trees around the car. I can see other campers looking at our car with jealousy and some even came over to take a closer look and asked me about the awning. Having this much shaded area away from sun and rain makes a huge difference in outdoor. We recently also used this awning at a church parking lot during the annual bazar where I volunteered to setup a hotdog stand to sell for fundraising. This awning was a hit with a big sign attached from top to bottom and I was able to cook and serve hot dogs under the shade all day. I love their rooftop tent and I'm now seriously considering purchasing that as well, although we are a family of 5 people so we have a huge tent that can fit 6 people comfortably but the rooftop tent looks so cool and would be great for cross country road trip with my wife or for my son who's in college. This company really knows how to make products for car roof tops and I'm really impressed with their product, especially this 270 degree awning, which is really easy to setup and to pack up!

This awning was easy to setup and use! We do a lot of camping and fishing lakeside and I am allergic to the sun so I always need shade no matter where. My husband was able to set this up without any problems. Will also protect us should there be rain!

Awning is good quality,,,,but,,,,the hardware that comes with it,is absolute garbage,,,every mounting bolt pops off and breaks before even getin tighten down,,,do yourself a favor an go to your local hardware store and make your own mounting bolts

I purchased this for camping and sporting events! It was a breeze to put together and less than 10 mins to open. Its freestanding design is super convenient. The awning is incredibly sturdy, and has plenty of shade and protection from the elements. The water-resistant canopy does an excellent job of repelling the rain, and the compact storage makes it easy to put away( took me less than 5 mins) . For the size and quality, this is an unbeatable value!

Because of my weird schedule(I’m a ship captain) I’m gone for months at a time so I didn’t get around to opening this until now. I’m ready to get this mounted and go camping but I’m either going to have to make my own brackets of go without.
