I had a SanDisk before and my last MP3 player had a clip that broke off it after a while, so I went back sure I wouldn't be disappointed. I really like the pink color and the layout is very easy to understand. I just wish I could have all my music play, no matter if it is in a folder or not.

It plays mp3s, the menu and controls are sane, it can take a microsd card, it has a normal micro USB port, it mounts as a removable drive, it reads file info from mp3s correctly. I'm a luddite, so i would maybe prefer AAA batteries, but otherwise it's an excellent device.

If you download music to it, you can't delete any messed-up files off the unit. You have to go back in on your computer to get them off. Annoying.

These are the second set I've bought. I have one in each of my cars and a couple for when I work in the yard.I bought my first set 4 or five years ago and the clip has broken on a couple of them so I use those in my cars. I listen to books on them and it sure makes working in the yard more fun and I find that I work longer than without the clips. I have found that with my older ones chapters don't always load in order. Since I generally download the books from the library I don't know if the problem is with the clips or the library. I don't do music on them so I don't know what the quality of the sound is but it works great for audiobooks. ... show more

I have been a longtime Sansa fan since 2010-ish, when my dad bought me my very first Sansa MP3 player. I'm a really big music person and listen to music basically 24/7--when I got my first Sansa clip in 2011ish, I was soooo happy with it, and ever since then, I have only bought the Sansa clip. The older model (the one with the separate power button) lasted forever and was so sturdy. But it seems Sansa has been sacrificing quality in this newer model. Four years ago, I accidentally left my Sansa clip in my swim bag next to my open water bottle and it stayed submerged in water for nearly 10 minutes before I realized--guess what, it still worked perfectly after I tossed it in rice overnight! I kept using that one for a while until it finally died on me almost a year later. The next one I bought (this model) lasted me only three months before it just stopped working entirely. No reason. Nothing happened to it. I left it on the table next to my computer before going to bed--it had a full battery, worked perfectly. I turned it off, went to bed, next morning, it just stopped working. Tried plugging it in, tried resetting, nothing worked. My computer couldn't even recognize it anymore. Bought this one in November as a replacement. Guess what? This one also just DIED on me without any sort of damage taken. I listened to it on the way to work. The battery was at 3/4 power. I turned it off, put it in my bag, and started work. At lunchtime, I pulled it out again, tried playing it, and it just wouldn't turn on. My work laptop and my personal laptop both refuse to recognize this thing when it's plugged in. Ever since Sansa switched to using the middle button to turn it on, these things have been more of a cash grab than a proper product. Am very disappointed and I don't feel enthusiastic about continuing to buy these little guys. Will maybe look into a different model or even a different brand entirely. ... show more

Such a wonderful little player. Holds a ton of music and has a rich sound. Was hesitant to order because of some of the problems listed but I have had zero problems and much enjoyment. Recharges and holds charge well. Love the size and the clip. Highly recommend this little guy
