  • Exceptional lens for deep sky astro widefield
Style: Nikon
This is exceptionally good lens for the price . Bought this lens after reading very good reviews for its astro capabilities which it did not disappoint. NO comma at wide open f2.0 which was a big plus. I had issues with the focus ring plate which would not stop at given point making it useless for manual readings ... show more

Great lens - I love the look of this focal length wide open. The focusing ring is so smooth, big plus! I'm using it on a Sony A7Rii, and I'm super happy with the results I'm getting.

  • Does not focus at infinity on my Nikon mirrorless Z9.
Style: Nikon
I have a Nikon mirrorless Z9 using an FTZ adapter. I bought this 135mm f/2 (Nikon F mount) to image stars & DEEP SKY OBJECTS at f/2, but it will not focus at infinity set at f/2. Maybe the problem is that this 135mm lens will not work using the FTZ adapter. It will focus sharply at f/2 on objects just a few meters away, but cannot focus at infinity. Super sharp at 2-10 meters away, but out of focus at 2,400 meters (1.5 miles) away. I will have to return for a replacement if I cannot resolve this issue. ... show more

  • The lens was sold as new but it was used
Style: Nikon
The lens arrived in the Samyang box, looking new but the rear cap is a Tokina cap for Nikon. How did a Tokina cap end up on a "new" Samyang lens?

  • Make sure to check for compatibility issues
Style: Nikon
I own this lens and tried it with a Nikon Z6ii which requires a Nikon FTZ adapter. Checked to see if all the parts were seated correctly. However, when I tried to take images my live view screen was flickering erratically and I noted the F value kept switching from F2 to F9. So, if you purchase this lens and have this type of setup make sure it works for you. I tried the lens on a Nikon D750 and did not experience the above described behavior. With the D750 you are able to move the mechanical ring to select the F stops. With the Nikon Z6ii you have to set the mechanical ring to F22 and then you can select the other stops electronically. The lens itself is very sturdy and seems to take good images using the D750. ... show more

  • Very sharp and good photos it produces
Style: Nikon
On my Nikon Z6 camera using the focus peaking this lens produces very sharp images with great looking background blur. A great lens for portrait sessions when the subject is not moving around much like for a High school senior session or model session. Using the Z6 punch in zoom feature it is very easy to lock in sharp focus. ... show more
