I have finally completed the set after 2 years. First I bought the S60B soundbar in 2022. Then the rear speakers in 2023, and now the subwoofer. I was hesitant about it because Amazon says it's a frequently returned item and because I could not find any product demos online or see any in-depth reviews. The final hurdle was the price. It is steep. But, I got a "like-new" one using a $50 gift card which brought it down by 30% so I pulled the trigger. I was really quite impressed with the build quality and sound experience. I actually had to turn down the bass from what I had it set at without the woofer because it was that powerful. I tested it with music and movies and it has quite the kick to it. It's extremely sturdy and easy to set up. I have read that some people find that it stops working after a bit or doesn't work at all once it is connected. Here's my take on that: the wireless soundbar and accessories use a 5GHz Bluetooth connection. If you have your wireless router very close to the soundbar, it can interfere with the connection in one of 2 ways: it can either slow down your wireless network performance making downloading VERY slow, or it can disrupt the wireless connection of the speakers. This happened to me when I first got my rear speakers. My router was 2 feet from the soundbar behind the TV. I moved the wireless router and had zero issues since. Keep this in mind if you have connection issues. Well worth the purchase to complete your soundbar set. Works great with the soundbar highly recommended it if you have just the Samsung soundbar. This really elevates the sound and is much smaller than you would think. So you can fit this easily next to the entertainment stand on the floor.

    • Perfect sidekick for S60D soundbar
Bought to pair with Samsung S60D soundbar and Samsung S90F OLED TV. I enjoyed the soundbar audio but I felt there was some oomph lacking, especially with movies. I added this subwoofer to my setup and watched Furiosa: Mad Max. The immediate difference with the subwoofer added was incredible! The Dolby Atmos really shone. I could literally feel the rumbling of the engines and the explosions in my seat. Not in an annoying or disturbing way, but like how it is at the movies - amazing! It gives such an immersive experience and everyone was captivated. I positioned the subwoofer on wood floor beside the TV console, and I feel this has given me great results. Setup was very simple; plug in the power, turn the soundbar off, hold the up button on the soundbar remote and the units pair together, signaled by a solid blue light on the rear of the subwoofer. Everything now working together in Q Symphony mode. I only fiddled with audio settings a little - cranking the bass up HIGH for starters. I'm aware that the S-series isn't the top premium range like the Q-series, but for me this is still superb audio quality and better than ANY budget home theater setup I've had before. It's the Bomb, it has the right amount of bass πŸ”Š and it linked up with my Samsung S50 sound bar and with my Q-Symphony TV. Great sound and it will make all your friends and family think about getting the Samsung upgrade to make your TV enjoyable. Small but right on with music and movies.

    • The First One was Defective
Update 2: I ordered another one and it sounds much better than the first one I had it is more pronounced, and I definitely know it is on and this one makes a huge different in my sound bar now. I took another chance because this is the only subwoofer that will pair with my S60B sound bar, and I just knew something must have been wrong with the first one because you just could not hear that it was working and thank goodness, I was right because this one sounds much better still not a boom machine but does make a big difference in the audio. Update: Sent back I tried for a week to like this so-called subwoofer, but the sound bar puts out much better bass and you have to stand by this to hear much and it is not much, so this unit has to be faulty. The speaker actually measures 5 1/2 inches not 6 1/2! No volume control so I don't how this unit has a 200-watt amp the most I could get was maybe 15 to 25 watts if that. I did not expect floor pounding bass but I did expect some bass, you can tell its there but barely and have to unplug it to notice well I guess it was on, that's bad. Not worth $300.00+ for the sound this one put out. I just received this Samsung subwoofer today May7, 2024 and it just barely puts out any sound you have to pretty much stick your ear to it to hear it. I tried over and over repairing it to no avail to my Samsung Hw-S60b sound bar and this was ordered because according to the ad this is the only subwoofer you can to connect to it. The sound bar was manufactured Dec. 2023 and the subwoofer Jan 2024, and it is a new version and actually has two speakers and I thought wow I got a newer version I thought I got lucky until the huge disappointment of very little sound maybe 3watts output out of the 200watts advertised. Maybe it's my sound bar which I am very happy with the sound but is useless without the added punch of a one choice in subwoofers. These company's love charging premium prices but produce inferior products made in other countries with no quality control. I hate having to return items, but it seems the high priced items are the ones that have problems. But this is a definite return item, yes, I saw this is a frequently returned item but was willing because this is the only one you can connect to my soundbar to try it but there is no bass at all no volume. I will update if things change, but it is a simple connect and it's supposed to be ready, so I am going to play with it a couple more days, BEWARE!! I have ordered thousands of dollars of products and can't remember ever having to return enough that you would fill up five fingers until the last couple of years I have had to return 4 expensive items, what happened to quality, all I want is a good product especially for 300.00 plus dollars that at least works when you get it. ... show more

    • Subwoofer defective
Just bought this subwoofer The subwoofer keeps cutting in and out. Every time it disconnects, the small blue light starts blinking, and then it reconnects shortly after. It does this repeatedly and makes it unusable. Amazon claimed it’s in good working condition. Not at all
