This remote is great. Just put batteries in and point and click for my newly required 43" Samsung smart TV. I did not like the remote that came with the TV, it was too confusing. This Samsung OEM remote control is just great, no programming required. It does not come with batteries, and that was fine with me. I would purchase again.

I purchased this remote for my elderly parents to use versus the small remote that came with their new Samsung Frame TV. I ordered this remote hoping it would be easier for them to use and without having to "pair" the remote to their Samsung model since I am out of state and wouldn't be able to assist them if needed. Have only had remote for a few days but seems to work all tv functions. We have Dish TV and it doesn’t work the dvr features but that’s no problem. The thing I liked most was setup - just put in batteries and it worked.

A great little bargain and all works well. My only disappointment is that the forward and rewind arrow buttons must be continually pressed to go forward or backward. I was used to my old remote where I could simply hold it down and it would skip along. It does get old, pressing a thousand times to go forward. But hey, it was cheap, and beggars can't be choosey.

We didn't realize we got a bad remote that came with our tv, so if your new tv has a weird lag to it --it may actually be your remote glitching. Our old remote would sometimes work, sometimes it would just blink like it's working but nothing would happen. This new remote works so much better. You can tell it's OEM, quality seemsto be on part with our other Samsung devices. My toddler already soaked this new remote in a glass of water for lord knows how long, and new remote didn't skip a beat, still works great. No programming needed, it instantly worked.
