Delivered on time in great shape. Woofer paired automatically. Manually pair sound bar to T.v , there's no easy prompt to pair. Many great features. Usb, audio, bluetooth. Etc connect options. Full USB. Sound: sounds great hooked up to my Samsung 65' 7000 series 4k TV. I use the Dts-x sound mode . It's center channel/ speaker allows for great clear vocals (No more vol at 65 to hear it). Sounds great for music fills my whole house with great sounding music , bass could be better when comes to lows. It's missing that deep rumble of low bass, but overall sounds good. After all it's a cheaper option to improve your audio. Really like it for music . This is my 1st sound bar so I'm happy with it . I do wish display was bigger . As far as remote. It's decent (picture included). I use a universal. For what it's worth I stream Hulu sounds great in app. No cable. ... show more

    • Pretty good sound bar but no perfect

Been using it for two days and I am very happy with it. The sound is great and the bass is good enough. The only thing I am kind of disappointed is with the HDMI part. I have Nvidia Shield connected to my 4K TV (at 59hz) by using the HDMI ports. Considering that this sound bar has the HDMI port option I thought it will work as I hoped for, but no. Unfortunately the HDMI port that is used to connect from the sound bar to the TV can only handle 4K at 30Hz. I thought it was a faulty HDMI cable but when I tested them by connecting the Nvidia Shield directly to the TV, it worked as usual. There is no information about this on Samsung website or at Amazon, at the end I did a google search and that's how I find out. So if you want 4K 60Hz signal with this sound bar by using HDMI, then your are out of luck. Fortunately I can pair my Nvidia Shield with the sound bar by Bluetooth and it works great. Besides this caveat, the A650 is pretty simple to use and install (includes the mounting kit). Recommended! ... show more

My 15+ yr old Samsung 36" flatscreen is still going strong but sound has degraded slightly in the last year, so I finally decided to buy a basic (<$300) soundbar for TVs below 50". After doing some research, I settled on a few, including this one. I eventually picked the A650 because of it's brand (same as the TV) and its low height - it was going to be sitting on a surface just in front of the TV, and I didn't want to block the TV's remote control sensor. I have been using the soundbar for a few weeks now and am happy with my purchase. Pros: Much better sound quality than the TV. Good low bass with no dropouts (though sometimes it alarms the kids during action movies). Simple setup - just a power cord and an optical cable (included) to the TV (plus another power cord for wireless subwoofer) Cons: Poor documentation inside the box; I had to find the full user's manual online in order to figure out how to get the soundbar to synch to my TV remote; I eventually succeeded. Also am not really clear on the actual technical differences between the sound modes (I keep it on 'adaptive') ... show more

This is a great product, with premium features at a fair price for the value. I was looking to upgrade my older Yamaha Soundbar with an optical connection. A year ago we upgraded our Den TV to a new Samsung Q60 TV which has an HDMI ARC output option. It was important to me that the next Soundbar take advantage of the HDMI Arc output, and be fully integrated with our Samsung Q60. An additional attraction was the wireless Subwoofer offered in this package. The sound is outstanding in a medium-size room. The only issue I did have was an intermittent message that my TV gave that it couldn't communicate with the Soundbar on the HDMI Arc port, even enough sound contained to play. This issue was quickly resolved by checking for updates that the Sansung Site, sure enough, there was a firmware update for the soundbar. I download the firmware, unpacked the zip file, copied the file onto a formated (FAT) USB drive, and followed the install instructions on the Samsung site. It took less than a minute and no more communication messages. I would absolutely buy this product again. I'm thrilled with it. ... show more

I was annoyed at having a nice 2020 Samsung TV yet still having to watch with the remote in hand to change the volume for talking or action scenes. Research told me I needed to make sure there was a dedicated center channel speaker in my sound bar choice. Easy to install out of the box. I already had an HDMI cable, they do not include one. I am using the 'standard' sound type and it's the perfect balance. Subwoofer is tucked in a corner at the opposite end of the room, dialed down to 1 (of 1-6 levels). It's exactly what was needed to really enjoy the tv. It feels cinematic and full without all the rumble and thumping that feels over the top for regular viewing. There's tons of power left unused and I may give it a workout for a big movie experience in the future, but for now it's perfect for tv shows or sports. It comes with a nice remote but once it was set up I just used my existing Samsung tv remote which turns it all on along with the tv and controls the volume like normal. ... show more
