The watch came in non-original packaging, just a white box containing the watch and charging base. I recharged the battery and set it up very easily using an S24+. A software update was required. I have been using it for a month, the watch works well, the battery has lasted two days. Connectivity is good, notifications work well. The strap is comfortable, but the fact that it doesn't open completely can make it difficult to use some types of chargers. It's a big watch, so be aware of that. Despite its size, it's not uncomfortable to wear. It's a nice looking watch, and it appears to be durable, the metal case looks very sturdy. The health mapping features are very interesting.     • Things change a lot on battery savings mode. No Bixby some of the My Health features too.

The blood pressure tile disappeared, so I guess I won't be getting my blood pressure. The health app uses a lot of power draining the battery. If you try to save battery life a lot of the good stuff won't work. Bixby voice control won't work on battery savings mode. But I am just getting started with it. I originally had a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 42mm Bluetooth/LTE from Best Buy that was an open box for over $300 at the time. I happened to be looking for a smartwatch for my girlfriend when I came across this amazon renewed Galaxy Watch 5 Pro for a fraction of the price (under $100). For that price, I decided to get it. The condition was described as excellent. I guess theres one higher rated condition they label as pristine. I was a little skeptical, but when I got it, I was really impressed. It looked as if it was refurbished to new condition. There were no signs of scratches or wear. I put a screen protector on, charged it, powered it on and went through the setup process using a backup of my other watch. It transfered most of my settings and data over but I had to tweak the layout of my tiles and watch face to make it the familiar look and feel of my old watch. The charger that came with it is a 3rd party unfortunately, but I have an OEM Samsung charger so that doesn't bother me too much. I do suggest you spend the extra money to get an official charger or for a few bucks more, a quick charger as I have not found a 3rd party charger that charges as fast as a Samsung one. Also note that during the setup, you will drain quite a bit of battery. I went through about 40% during my setup. After I went to bed and woke up with still having a significant amount of battery life. With some proper settings, you can expect to see a full day or 2 before charging it. This watch is a little heavier than my old one, but is also a little bigger and has a larger battery, so that's expected. I smacked my old watch on many things and expect this watch to be just as durable, especially with the thick frame it has. It connected to my phone seamlessly and was able to disconnect and reconnect without any issues. I tested the speaker, screen, microphone, buttons, Bluetooth connection, and charging without any issues. I didn't test the water resistance. I did purchase a 3 year wearable protection plan for this watch just in case something were to happen, but the durability of these watches, I don't expect to ever use it. Before I looked closer I thought I hit the jackpot.. we all know that amazon renewed items are a gamble to say the least. I've got nearly BRAND spanking new items before, and I've got absolutely trashed items as well. This was one of the bad ones. Supposedly their renewed and if scratches are present, their "not visible more than a foot away" but this one had a scratch down the right side of the screen that looked like someone took a razor blade to it! And the final gut punch was the battery life, I have 1 of these watches i bought new, but wanted a renewed one to wear for work (mechanic life) as I don't want to continue getting mine dirty. The battery life of the one i bought from the store, lasts me around 1.5 days to ALMOST 2 days easily. I've got more and got less depending on usage. This one however, not even hooked up to LTE, always on display was turned off, brightness on auto, barely any apps, ECG/heart BPM/Health tests turned to basically a few times a day at most, weather and other constant update apps limited, etc etc .... and i could seriously watch the battery life drain on the screen. After updating it ONCE which takes forever, it went from fresh off the charger to 77%.. one more update put it below 50%, less than 100 min later it was under 20%. That's ridiculous! Also I'll add that the included charger was some knockoff Walmart special! The band was one of those 3$ Chinese elastic straps that you can get 3+ for 5$ on Amazon that are horrible looking. Thankfully I had a few bands i bought with my other watch that I used to test.. Their sending me a replacement and I'll report back if the replacement is indeed up to par or if it's getting sent back as well for a full refund and I'll just have to buy another new watch! Edit--also just noticed that this is NOT Amazon renewed selling this watch which i wish I would of caught sooner, it's somebody named "ChubbiesTech"... and upon closer look their reviews are absolutely horrible so I have a feeling the replacement watch will be going back also! ... show more

This was my 1st purchase of an Amazon Renewed product & although I was kinda nervous about the quality of the product I was getting, now I can happily say it came in excellent condition and the battery as well seems to be in fantastic condition & lasts easily over a day. That was also something i was concerned about when I made the purchase. I am a tech enthusiast and knew I was gonna be putting the device to its fullest use in pretty much every way possible. I have the always on display turned on as well as the brightness at max. So the fact that i can get through a day without it dying on me is a huge plus as no other watch I've had before was able to do that. The amount of features this watch has is also another big reason I'm happy with the purchase. Honestly, I used to think my friend's Apple watch was the best watch made but compared to this one it's seriously lacking in multiple areas. Also, the watch has LTE capabilities which allow me to keep it fully functional without needing my phone close by which, to me, made this buy such a huge bargain its kind of hard to believe I got it for the price I did. Been about a month since I've purchased this renewed version of the GW5 pro. It came almost flawless, besides a few minor scuffs on the outer bezel. With all features on, continuous monitoring, adaptive brightness, Wifi, Bluetooth, NFC, sleep, step & stress tracking on, along with frequently checking messages, weather radar, and my daily planner, I can get about 36 hours of battery life. With all those features off on power save mode, it can last roughly 60 hours. So depending on the desired use, you have a decent window to work with. I charge mine once per day, typically on my lunch break. Charge time takes about an hour to fully charge from 40%. Even faster if you shut the watch off. If you're not worried about a rotating bezel, the GW5 PRO is a fantastic smart watch. Even more so than the GW6 classic in my experience, which when fully utilized dies in about 20 hours. My GW6 classic is about 20 feet deep in my local lakeside community and honestly, I'm glad I got the GW5 pro. I couldn't deal with the constant need to charge. Also, the new One UI 6.0 and the wear OS 5.0 update that came thru a few weeks ago seemingly gave the watch a smoother look, feel and font, along with more accurate sleep and health monitoring abilities. 5🌟 All day. ... show more
