    • 2 days after being received, Phone overheats and now totally unusable
I bought this "refurbished" iPhone 15 Pro Max on July 16, 2025, received it on July 17, 2025. i was able to successfully reset it and transfer data from my old iPhone. However, it's battery capacity wasn't as I expected as it lasted really shorter than even my old iPhone. The phone was also responding slowly, and within 2 days, I tried to reset it and now it started overheating dangerously, got stuck in a boot loop, and became completely unresponsive. I performed a simple factory reset to connect my old phone again, and that triggered a meltdown — literally. The phone keeps restarting on the "Hello" screen in multiple languages and won’t let me swipe or enter anything. I can’t shut it down or force restart it, and it’s now getting hot enough to worry about a fire risk. Worse, I had already activated my eSIM, and when I was reseting it, I chose an option of erasing only data without eSim, so I’m now locked out of my own data. This is not a minor defect. This is a safety hazard. It feels like either a rushed refurb job or a defective unit passed off as refurbished. For $788.61, I expected better. I’m contacting Amazon for a full refund or replacement. In the meantime, I hope i get it. ... show more

I upgraded because of the built-in obsolescence, having had only 128GB of storage that couldn't be expanded. That said, the camera is much improved, and I appreciate the larger screen. The 15 with 256GB of storage helped immediately, and the camera is excellent. My only complaint is that, when the previous owner wiped the phone clean and reset it, I had to get Apple support to get started. That's because the original version of the iOS software for the 15 had a flaw that wouldn't allow setup. I ended up going to the Apple Store, where I spent a couple of hours for a software update. ... show more

Bought a renewed premium from Amazon and the phone looks brand new. Battery life was at 98% and it still had some months left on the original apple warranty. Phone works as advertised, but coming from a 12 pro, I really didn't notice any huge difference. Sure the camera is much better and the phone is faster, but I was unimpressed with the upgrade. That's an Apple thing, not an Amazon thing. I've bought several renewed prem iphones from Amazon over the past 3 years and they never disappoint. Good phone overall, was skeptical bout buying on amazon and i rather pay full price mine came with a bad E sim. Apple repair was 600$ for the Esim and i paid 800$ for the 15 max pro. I live in Colombia and received the phone through a freight forwarder. Unfortunately, the device arrived with several issues: the battery overheats and drains very quickly, and both the screen and the battery are not genuine. The main camera lens is scratched, causing blurry focus and photo defects, and there was also cosmetic wear not mentioned in the listing. I’ve previously purchased refurbished Apple products in “excellent” condition—including Apple Watches and MacBooks—and this is the first time I’ve had an experience like this. For context, I purchased this phone listed as “excellent condition.” I contacted the seller and, after seeing some positive reviews, suggested a replacement. However, they said they had no stock available. They offered $25 to keep the phone or a refund, which doesn’t even come close to covering all these defects. They also stated that if I was outside the U.S., they wouldn’t cover return shipping—fortunately, my freight forwarding service allows returns, but not all do. Luckily, I still had my iPhone 13, which allowed me to wait for the refund process without being left without a phone.
