I've had this laptop a couple of days, purchasing after weeks of shopping. I like it so far. It's fast, super thin, and no fan so it's quiet. I really wanted a backlit keyboard, which this laptop has but as other reviewers mentioned, it doesn't work well. It doesn't default to turn on and even on it's brightest setting it isn't visible. The battery is good, but I've never seen the 17 hours that the specs promised. Overall, very satisfied but I wish they would fix the backlighting for the keyboard. ... show more

I did a lot of research when I was looking to purchase a new laptop. Speed, memory and weight was what I was looking for. As i student in grad school, I needed a computer with basic functions and I also spend a significant amount of time online. This computer exceeds all of my expectations in all of those categories. The start up and speed on this computer is like no other. The battery lasts a very long time on one charge and this thing is paper thin and lightweight without being fragile. It is small so if you are looking for a larger computer, this may not be what you want. The screen is about 13.5 inches. Also to note is that there is no built in USB port. It has the capability with adapters, but there is no built in USB ports, which is why this laptop can be so thin and lightweight. I bought this laptop on sale in the purple/ pink color and I absolutely love it. I wish they made a sleeve or cover for it that didn't cove the camera. Speaking of the camera, it is not the best resolution, but I don't mind. Even though I do a lot of virtual conferences these days, it's not so bad that I would consider returning, just something to be aware of if it's important to you. I thought I got a really good deal when I found on this for sale for 650, but this computer is garbage. Yes it is extremely light and very thin. But the screen keeps on flickering, the computer is pretty slow and making it very hard to multi task. Battery life is also pretty bad. I took it on a trip to California and after I came back, the computer completely restarted on me deleted my files and has just stopped working. ... show more

This is a great option for travel. It is razor thin and fits in any bag. Screen is great quality and the build finish is great. Battery does die fairly quickly but is good for most uses. After a year or two the screen has developed an issu displaying every other line of pixels but I don’t know if that is from use or if it was damaged at some point. This laptop works and looks great! I'm currently writing this review on the Galaxy Book S and it's pretty comfortable for something so small and thin! The screen look amazing for a 1080p monitor and battery life is crazy. I currently use it as a personal laptop for managing my family's monthly budget (google sheets), booking family vacations, streaming Netflix, YouTube, and music (Spotify). Non of these applications/websites have given me a problem. The webcam is good for Zoom calls, but not the best if you're looking to stream on Twitch or YouTube. This computer really isn't made for a heavy load. It's more for someone who needs a portable laptop for school or work. It can last a long time with out charging and the fact that it ships with the same charger that my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra did blows my mind. I left the laptop running Netflix all night to see if it would die on me, but when I woke up it was still playing Avatar the Last Airbender. I would recommend to anyone looking for a sleek, portable laptop that can last a long time for basic functions (not gaming, photo editing, video editing). I would also say to purchase only if price is below MSRP ($999). I was able to get this laptop for around $600 and I've seen it as low as $400 on some websites. There are other laptops that can do more for the MSRP so stay away if it's even close. (Perspective: For the same MSRP I was able to purchase this laptop and a galaxy Watch 3; Both are new). ... show more

It's a good laptop for eveday user, don't give it any heavy work like video/graphics editing. It's very light weight and performs well. The only thing I don't like about it is that the backlight keyboard has a sensor and only works when it's very dark, ie, at night time. Otherwise this is a very good basic laptop. ... show more

I love the slim form factor of this computer and it still feels sturdy. I absolutely love that the computer has no fan, so using it in bed or with covers is not going to smother it an cause issues. My two issues were this: the right USB port didn't work right out of the box, so I immediately had to ship it to New Jersey to be repaired. The other issue is that I can't use the built-in speakers at any setting under 20%, which is the volume I usually listen at when I am in my relatively quiet house.....the only time you would actually use these instead of headphones. They make this really annoying popping sound constantly. ... show more

Amazing to look at. Amazingly light and beautiful. No heat, no fan noise= super quiet! 1 Major flaw?: We had trouble multi-tasking with this laptop. When opening Chrome & excel at the same time, doing a few simple multi-tasks, the computer would slow down in opening the windows considerably. It took for example 15 seconds to open a new window or a new program. We did this test consistently for 3 days, and 3 days it kept freezing with basic multi-tasks. Maybe this brand new tech of i5-L16G7 Chip just needs a few more kinks worked out for Windows? We were using the laptop with Dongle VAVA USB C Hub, 7-in-1 USB hub, in order to watch movies on our TV. PS: It comes with 2 great adapters: HDMI & USB, so you might not need to buy a Dongle for it right away? ... show more
