  • Good quality - speaker sound output volume is more than needed for normal hearing.
Size: 40 Inch Style: TV Only
But... I had carefully re-packaged and obtained a refund because... Website does not provide enough pre-purchase information. I even downloaded the so-called Manual that I regard as useless because it doesn't provide any info that is much better than the setup guide. I was looking for a rear diagram to check for RCA Jacks Audio output needed to operate my wonderful SennHeiser remote Headset that I require to hear TV because I am partially deaf. Otherwise I have to turn TV volume up so loud it vibrates the walls and my wife can't sleep. My 20 year old Insignia TV include red and white (right and left jacks) for audio output. This set does not, so I boxed it up for Amazon free return. I then went and checked other boxes at Walmart and Sam's Club and the rear panels are all the same. No RCA Audio Output. A little trap door marked "Optical Audio Digital Output" caught my eye. Audio? I check on Amazon and happy days! Doubly so because 40 inch sets are as rare as Hen's teeth, while 43 inch is too big and won't fit in my room; I find a Converter Cable that converts Optical to Analog RCA Audio at a very reasonable price. I complain loudly at the difficulty of finding good-quality 32-40 inch TV's as marketing strategy is always more, more, more, bigger and bigger. Where does it end? 200 inch TV's at 64K Resolution? I need help to be physically boosted into my Son-in-Law's Pickup Truck. I guess I've been stuck in a 20 year old time warp. I order the Cable, again, unbox this Samsung Unit and Voila! It works great! Cancel my return! Picture and Sound, (for my wife, who can hear a Cockroach fart), are very good. She listens to TV speakers at low volume while I listen separately on my Headset. Sound is so good it's like I'm a teenager; hard of hearing has melted away! I would subtract a star if it weren't for the fact that all the TV manufactures are all the same-manual is mostly useless, RCA Jacks a thing of the past. I blame myself for looking to the past, ignorant of the present. OH well - all's well that ends well. ... show more

  • Repeat purchaser!
Size: 40 Inch Style: TV Only
I’ve purchased several of these TV’s to use in a home remodel. They are a great size, simple to set up and at a very reasonable price point. I’ve had 4 installed recently in a rental home. Streaming is easy, picture quality is spot on and I love that there’s no glare. Wifi set up was a breeze, remote control is simple and the colors are crisp and can be adjusted to your preference. Zero complaints for my use! ... show more

  • A Good Quality Brand and Model
Size: 32 Inch Style: TV Only
I had this same model until about a year ago, and really liked it until a voltage surge damaged the audio. One of my housemates is still using that set with earphones, but I didn't want to go that route and made the mistake of replacing it with another brand I'd never heard of rather than with a Samsung or equivalent. That set lasted only a year before unexpectedly dying, so when it had to be replaced I went back and got the same Samsung model I'd had and enjoyed before. It's easier to set up [not as many unnecessary and annoying steps], has better video and audio quality, and I expect it to last a lot longer. ... show more

  • Good TV
Size: 32 Inch Style: TV Only
Picture and sound quality are excellent, as endorsed by Consumer Reports. Comes with a good number of apps. Very easy/intuitive to set up and use. Only complaint is the built-in antenna to pick up signals from our in-home internet router does not seem to be that great. It has trouble maintaining connectivity, when my tablet (right next to the TV) does not. ... show more

  • I thought my old tv was bad
Size: 40 Inch Style: TV Only
I like the quality of the tv. Customer service was fantastic. I have a couple of serious issues and a lot of ticky-tack fouls, but I have only had it working for three hours maybe something will change. If you hit a non-letter key while entering your username, you start over. The paper user guide that comes with it is worthless: there are no instructions on using the tv in it. I know it seems obvious, but the start-up manual does not tell you to plug the tv into power. The tv rejected my attempt to register it during set-up then refused to recognize my wireless internet. Customer service was fantastic, spent a hour helping me get through the mess. The menu is about 11 icons on the bottom of the screen. Most of them are subscriptions. Could not find a way to either delete them or to more the channels I want to the left so I don't have to click umpteen times to get past the ones I will never buy (Netflix, Disney, etc). When setting up, the skip button does not work; you have to click the next step number. Privacy Settings are ridiculously complicated; I gave up trying to figure out how to change them. Manual is useless in that regard (and just about every other regard as well). Adding a channel does not add it to the menu; you have to do that manually. Channels are considered apps; use the app button to add one. But after you add one, when you click the add button to add another, it takes you to the channel you just added, NOT to the add apps screen. Powering off and on worked sometimes to get back to the add apps screen but not often. Screens time out way too fast. Frequently the Home button doesn't, and you are left trying to figure out how to get out of a submenu on your own. With some items on the menu bar (like Disney), it is difficult to tell which icon is selected; you have to move the selection to figure it out. The on-screen keyboard is really screwy. Click a letter and a checkmark covers the letter to the left. If that is the letter that you want, you have to move left twice: once to the letter, which clears the check mark, and once to select the letter. Frequently the letter that is selected changes to a different letter when you move the selection, then changes back when you move the selection again. Frequently when you click the Setting button, the Settings screen does not open leaving you wondering what to do; actually the first couple times it happens, you don't know that anything is wrong, so the instructions, if you found any, appear to be wrong. I didn't find any info on the remote control, like what the PRE-CH and A, B, C, and D buttons do. That's enough; you get the idea. OK, I hate it so bad that I have to continue. The user interface is aweful. They are so busy trying to get you to watch the channels they want you to watch it becomes a chore trying to watch your channels. I have the Newsmax channel on in the background 4 to 6 hours a day. Every day I have to search for it. When I find it, they offer me Newsmax on Haystack. When I select Newsmax, one more time they offer Haystack. When you move the selection, I mentioned it above, it is hard to tell where you moved it to. While you are trying to find it, the thing times out, takes you somewhere you don't want to go, and you have to start all over. If I could afford it, I would toss the thing; I'm 74 years old and on a limited budge. I guess I'm stuck with this thing for the rest of my life. :( ... show more
