I don't generally write reviews, but I think it's relatively important for this item because it seems like a product that's not overly popular by its price and the fact that it doesn't have a dedicated gpu. First off, I've not used a crazy amount of laptops in the past, but I have run through a number of Windows and MacOS laptops recently. I've used the M5 14", M5 16", M1 16", Razer Blade 18 2023, Asus Zenbook 16, and the Asus Zepherus G16. These are the laptops I will make loose comparisons to, but please keep in mind that I am not a professional reviewer and this is the only laptop I've ever submitted a review for. Pros: Build Quality - The laptop appears to be built the same way that a Macbook Pro is built, albeit with sharper edges and some slight differences, compared to a 16" Macbook, this laptop is thinner and lighter which makes it less of a burden to bring with you. Keyboard - Key travel isn't massive, but it's still a responsive keyboard that I generally have few issues with. I don't like the location of the alternate function keys, when I want to turn the volume down using those keys specifically, I have to always find with they art, f7 + f8, and a similar story with the brightness keys. The MacBook has these two keybinds on the far sides where they're the first step in from the fingerprint sensor and the escape key. I much prefer this because you can use them through muscle memory without having to think about it. Trackpad - Haptic Trackpad, HUGE pro for a Windows laptop, it's wild that this hasn't caught on more and it drives be up the wall that Apple's been doing this exceptionally well for the last decade and next to no Windows OEMs decided to follow suit, shame on them. This laptop has it, it isn't as good as a MacBook, but it's better than every other Windows laptop that I've tried. Display - 120hz, 2880 x 1440, AMOLED that allegedly is 1000nits. I've not tested it directly, but it does get brighter than most of the other laptops I've tried, not as bright at the Mini Leds on the MacBook, but this display does look better because it's an Oled, watching the 4K HDR Dune Part 2 on both of these laptops shows just how washed out the MacBook's display is despite being a phenomenal display. Battery Life - Integrated GPU, with Panther Lake being the star of the show, this laptop has really good battery life for what it is, if you're doing light tasks and use some of the more efficient versions of applications, this laptop can go a long time. SSDs - Comes with a 1TB M.2 2280 ssd. I never cared to do performance testing because I honestly don't think it matters all that much for most use cases, apologies for that, but it is a Samsung drive. The laptop has an additional empty M.2 2280 slot, for a total of two drives that can be installed, I love this, it's frustrating when there's no path forward except to replace the existing drive. Chipset - The absolute star of the show for me, I've been looking for a laptop that has great battery life in normal operations and can play light-medium demanding games while staying quiet, sleek, and not dying immediately. The issue I've had with other laptops is that when the dedicated GPU is turned on, the laptop feels like it's trying to kill itself in the battery department. I have a dedicated desktop for playing games mostly, and have no interest in a laptop that can play the latest and greatest at the highest settings, I am much more interested in a laptop that can do 900p-1080p, at low-medium settings at 60fps while being able to play for 2-3 hours in 3d games that are around 3-8 years old, and this does that well. Playing older emulated games can yield far better results as well if you're willing to use a program like ThrottleStop (Intel XTU was not available when I last tried to use a program like that). Using a program to limit the cpu's power can effectively give you as many hours as you're looking for out of the laptop guaranteed if you're willing to sacrifice some performance. Ports - HDMI 2.1, absolutely love to see it, no idea what is going on when manufacterers release laptops with the HDMI 2.1 TDMS where it's not actually HDMI 2.1 and is effectively only capable of 4k 60hz. in 2026, this should be shamed greatly. 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports, would have liked to see Thunderbolt 5, but this isn't the end of the world. Love to see a USB A, and a full size SD card reader. Cons: Price - The unit on Amazon is currently 2608usd. This is a huge price for something that doesn't have a dedicated gpu. Understand that this is what I was looking for in a laptop, but I know it can be a huge turn off for people that are looking at something this expensive. Speakers - Although good, not top of the line like the MacBook Pro, or the Zepherus G16. Cooling Solution - Does not have the Vapor chamber that is advertised in the marketing images, I believe that's only in the units that have the dedicated GPU. Sign in Options - No Windows Hello, this is fine for me, but I've have liked to see it on this device. Final Thoughts: This laptop is everything that I was looking for in a laptop, you get the full compatibility of it being an X86 based cpu and not having the new challenges that you face with ARM, also no software limitations like you would on MacOS when it comes to games. The largest thing about this laptop is effectively just the price, it's extremely expensive, such is the market at the moment, but that doesn't make it any less expesnive. I fortunately was able to purchase this on Amazon when there was a dip, the unit was 2132 and came with a 50usd amazon gift card. I got lucky, but some may still see that as too expensive.
