Don’t buy this microwave! They are all poorly made. They must have some flaw, and they are poorly designed. We bought this microwave because all the other appliances in our kitchen are Samsung, and we were very pleased with them. We just sent the 3rd microwave for repair. The first one never worked. The second one worked for about 10 seconds. The third one worked well for two months before it started having problems. In the two months we’ve been able to use it, we have not been impressed with ease of use or the power. I’m not ready to give up on it because the store will repair it at no cost to us. I hope they can’t repair it, and they give us our money back so I can buy a different microwave. Right now we have a small cheap microwave, and it’s easier to use and has a lot more power for 1/4 of the cost. I need a built in 30” unit, and the next one won’t be a Samsung. ... show more

Was struggling to get away from an over the range microwave and having to heat a big gas stove for just me and my wife. The microwave is powerful so it seems to cook more evenly. You can cook with the convection oven and pull out the finished product and go directly to microwave.It uses 15 amps so no dedicated power needed.The turntable works on convection as well.10 yr magnetron warranty.Has child lock so buttons do nothing when pressed by curious little fingers.Only problem is it’s on the heavy side but if it’s inside a cabinet then it works perfectly.We recently extended our kitchen but still need to conserve space because we added more windows so wall cabinets weren’t an option.We got a drawer dishwasher and got rid of 24 inch full sized. Got a nice 5 burner professional gas stove but this will shut itself off when done. I left the stove on a few times and I can put this on the counter and not have to bend over.Also the outside stays cool so no getting burned or melting things on top of the stove when the oven is on. ... show more

This unit is the 2nd microwave purchased. We had bought entire kitchen from Samsung for kitchen renovation. The items arrived 2 months prior to installing and 1 month after the original order. The microwave was damaged upon opening the box even though there was no significant damage visible on the box. The unit was damaged either in original shipment or from the warehouse. The glass inside the door was shattered and the unit was bent inside the door with about 1/4 inch shift to the face plate. Samsung only accepts damage claims for 15 days, so buyer beware. The cabinet had been modified to accommodate this microwave and trim kit. Nothing else would fit the opening or trim kit, so I was forced to buy another unit, which I bought from Amazon. The item arrived faster than it did from Samsung and was handed to me personally. I opened immediately and checked to ensure no damage then installed the microwave in the opening and the trim kit. Thus far the unit is performing good and has done everything we expected. When the unit heats up either from the internal heating element or builds heat from the microwave, it will actually cool itself afterward and expel the heat from the unit. There needs to be at least 4 inches of space all around which the trim kit and stand insure as long as you have a 30-inch cabinet to start with. The complete unit looks good and leaves additional counter space. The unit is advertised on Samsung as built in and sell a trim kit with it, that can also be purchased on Amazon, but when you visit the product page it describes it as a "countertop" microwave. I hope that it will continue to work inside the cabinet as there is air space around it, however not sure if it will build too much heat and damage the unit long term. I will post a follow up after more use. As far as service, I can say that I have had no issues with Amazon, and they have responded quickly and positively, to any concern I have had with any purchases. Samsung is a different story. It took nearly 2 hours of being on hold to get an agent to report my damage and then find out they would not cover it and that since it was damaged there was no warranty on the unit. I essentially lost the $500 spent on the unit as I did not inspect upon arrival. When I tried to post this on Samsung site, they continued to send me the review back to modify. I could not rate the performance as the unit would not work and I was told not include the shipping / Delivery or comments about customer service. I since have read many poor reviews about the unit not lasting or being damaged similar to how mine was damage upon arrival. The only reason that I purchased this 2nd one was that it would have cost much more to buy another unit from a different manufacturer and then have to modify the cabinet opening again. If I had it to do over, I would not purchase and will most likely not buy Samsung in the future. I can say at this point I registered this unit on Samsung and the web site only has the warranty through January 2023 and I purchased this unit in July 2022, so should have a full year. This also was the case with the refrigerator. Both are under review by Samsung. Do your research prior to buying! ... show more

We had the earlier version of this microwave for 6 years. Although the controls were not user friendly if functioned well. We bought this one and it died before the Amazon return window closed, thankfully we were able to use Amazon return. We bought a relatively cheap Panasonic with sensor cook and inverter technology, it's the best microwave either of us have ever owned. We have ours under counter so we were excited about the drop down door but the regular door is working out fine. It's such a relief to know what every button on my microwave does and not need to look at the manual to use it. ... show more
