I ordered the8 ft. Bridge but actual size is only 91”, the Amazon photo made it look bigger, I thought the 4 end post was 4x4 but actual size is 2 3/8” only. My pond builder who assembled it said maybe it’s made for a large toy train set although it’s not too bad looking once it was installed in my new 6,000 gallon koi pond. I added some Asian hardware to make it look more authentic Japanese bridge.. it really enhanced it.

I would have given this 5 stars if the assembly had taken the hour that was advertised. Even though putting the bridge together is very straight forward and should only take one hour, it took us longer than that because one of the end bolts 'hit' a knot in the wood and would not go all the way in, so we had to stop and go to the hardware store to get a shorter one that would work. Once that was done we thought we were in the clear, but unfortunately not. We were using an electric tool for getting the screws in and ran into similar situations with them since the holes for them on the outer piece were not drilled all the way through and getting a long, narrow screw through all of the very hard wood takes time. We finally stopped and took the time to drill those holes on the outer piece to make the journey easier. The bridge is gorgeous. It's heavy, durable, and should last a very long time. It is definitely not made cheaply. The instructions also included suggestions on Brand and color of stain and/or oil and even included the Brand and color of the oil they used prior to sending the bridge. Very impressive. I would recommend this to anyone with the caution that it will take more than one hour to assemble and that you definitely will need to use power tools as noted in the Instructions that comes with the bridge..

Just had the bridge delivered and opened the box to take a look and the materials and finish is ABOVE what I expected. I will have to add a finish to the bridge once completed but a lot of the assembly is already completed as delivered which is a plus. Speaking of delivery I cannot believe that it only took a couple of days from order to delivery of such large item which is a big plus to me. I will add more if something doesn't go right after final assembly and placement but I don't expect anything to be a problem. If you wondering about ordering this bridge, go ahead you'll be happy.

Product looks different from the piture. Poor quality. No compliance with the price. one large lag bolt broken into one end frame. But Amazon service is very good for this case.

Very solid and well constructed bridge. Assembly was easy with everything marked out for you. It’s not the cheapest bridge but well worth the money. Shipping was fast and I believe it will hold up for decades with proper maintenance.

Color was not as depicted, which is a very pretty, well-finished dark brown in the image. The actual sides are like a red cedar look and the boards that you walk on are stained a purple-ish/red-ish brown - wrapped in plastic and still completely oily/smelly, clearly having been dipped in stain and then shrink wrapped while soaking wet. All the wood is rough and not smooth sanded. The parts don't match each other in stain appearance at all. The parts were wrapped safely for shipping but the package was left in front of my car garage and too heavy for me to move alone. Am paying a handyman to assemble it - will update re assembly ease and final appearance. Am hoping it bleaches to a more natural wood tone in the sun.

The media could not be loaded. Super excited to add this brigde to our dry creek bed. The only 2 issues I had was the loud squeaking as you walk across the brigde (tried reinforcing with nails to hold the planks in place but still squeaks) AND it unfortunately was short of 8ft (7ft6in, give or take a couple cm). Other than that, some minor issues like sanding and painting... NOTE: Make sure screws are going in correctly. You could be drilling screws in but it might not connect to the main frame, which means you're just screwing through a plank to just have it pop out the other side (see pictures). You may have to really angle the screws to get it correct. Flip the brigde on its side to check your work. Easy to assemble. Sturdy wood. Not too heavy. FAST delivery. Including tax, I paid about $1,000 for this brigde. Was it worth it??? My husband thinks so. If we made one from scratch, my husband thinks all the materials, quality of materials, labor and equipment can easily cost us a good $700... Have not tested it outdoors, but hope it survives nature...
