My landlord recently installed a new toilet in my bathroom. I bought this because my old bidet would not fit under the seat of my new toilet seat without using toilet seat spacers. This was very easy to install. The bidet works great and the soft close feature of the seat works perfectly? As an added bonus, the bidet part can be easily removed for cleaning. We are very pleased with the Bidet, we had some of the cheaper ones that use your existing seat. Most toilet seats press down on the bidet, causing it to crack over time. This one does not have that issue and works great.

This all-in-one bidet and seat bundle is a fantastic, non-electric upgrade that was incredibly easy to install. The soft-close lid is a huge improvement and works perfectly, completely eliminating any slamming. Having the bidet controls built into the seat looks much cleaner and more integrated than a separate attachment. The quick-release button for the seat makes it extremely easy to remove for thorough cleaning, which is a brilliant feature. The plastic seat itself feels a bit lightweight compared to the heavy-duty seat it replaced, but it's not a major issue. I wanted to add a bidet to my main bathroom but disliked the look of the separate attachments. This integrated bundle was the perfect solution for a clean, modern look and took less than 20 minutes to install. This is the easiest and most affordable way to get a modern, soft-close bidet seat in your bathroom.

Just like my title says, installing the Samodra Bidet was simple, requiring little effort and minimal tools. All necessary parts and an adapter for standard toilet bowl supply lines are supplied with the bidet kit. The included two-way supply line adapter threads directly into the toilets water tank, after turning off the water and removing the original line. After that, the original toilet water supply line is reconnected to the adapter along with the steel braided bidet supply line that runs to the bidet. And that’s it for water connections. The only tool needed was a 17mm open end wrench to make the 3/8” supply connections, and in our case, a 7/16” closed end wrench to remove the original seat. The seat supplied with the Samodra Bidet is hand threaded from the underside using plastic bolts, while using a Phillips head screwdriver to provided counter leverage from above. The bidet itself slides int to a locking clamp at the back and under the toilet seat. Samodra’s directions suggest attaching the water supply line to the bidet mechanism after the bidet’s been attached to the toilet seat, however I found it more convenient to attach it before clamping the Bidet to the seat. In any case, the clamp, that has unlocked and locked positions, makes removing and replacing the bidet apparatus quick and convenient. In all, with a careful reading of the instructions, it took me about 20 minutes to complete the entire installation. My wife, whose never before used a bidet, loves it, and that is her comment after her very first experience using the Samodra Bidet; I thought she would, since she’s very conscience about her hygiene. Considering that the water source for the bidet is cold only, I asked her about that too, since she normally shrinks from cold water. With that in mind, I was a little surprised that she nonetheless found the cold spray “refreshing.” Although my wife and I have never lived together in a European country, I personally have, where bidets are a standard bathroom accessory separate from the toilet, and typically do offer both cold and hot water, allowing the temperature to be adjusted to the user’s preference. Depending on which way the dial control is turned, the bidet will spew water at one of two angles, meant to be aimed at either the front or rear area, and in our case, it does so with adequate pressure; besides clean up after the normal toilet evacuations, a bidet can be an excellent accessory for menstruating women. The bidet, that is actually a separate component from the seat, has an appealing clean, modern look. When first attaching it to the seat I thought it wasn’t locking properly, however I found that it has to be pushed under and into the seat in order to be seated correctly and locked. The oblong lid and seat of the Samodra Bidet mirror the one it replaced, and is comfortable enough for the amount of time spent on it. Both the lid and seat stay securely in place when in the lifted position; there’s nothing more annoying than toilet seats that don’t. And that’s all I have to say about the bidet. It hasn’t been installed very long, but thus far, it’s been working fine and have no criticism to offer; all good.

I’ve installed and used several higher-end electric bidets in our house, and I genuinely like them. That said, our downstairs bathroom doesn’t have a convenient electrical hookup, and I wasn’t interested in running power or paying a premium just to solve that problem. This bidet seat ended up being the perfect solution. Installation was straightforward and refreshingly simple. If you can replace a toilet seat and disconnect/reconnect a supply line, you can install this. Everything needed was included, the instructions were clear, and the whole process took me about 20 minutes with basic tools. No leaks, no fiddling, no frustration. Compared to electric bidets with wiring, control modules, and extra plumbing, this was painless. Functionally, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The controls are intuitive, the water pressure is easy to adjust, and the front/rear spray options are effective. It’s cold water only, but honestly that hasn’t been an issue at all. Like many people, I find it more refreshing than uncomfortable, and the simplicity means fewer things that can fail long-term. The seat itself feels solid, looks clean and modern, and the soft-close feature is a nice bonus. It doesn’t feel cheap, especially considering the price point. From a value perspective, this punches well above its weight. I’ve paid two to three times as much for electric models, and while those have extra features, this covers the core functionality extremely well. For anyone who wants a bidet but doesn’t have power nearby, doesn’t want the complexity of an electric unit, or just wants a reliable, affordable upgrade, this is an easy recommendation. It’s simple, effective, and well priced—and that’s exactly what I was looking for.
