To be honest, I didn’t get this mat for a salon, I use it in my kitchen. And for that purpose, it works well. It absorbs weight and helps relieve leg pain when standing for long periods. That said, compared to my other standing mat, this one isn’t quite as supportive or high-quality, which is why I took off one star. However, considering its size, it’s more budget-friendly, just not by a huge margin. One thing to note: it tends to slide around more easily than other brands I’ve used. That probably wouldn’t be an issue in a salon setting if you place a salon chair on the back portion of the mat, as intended — the added weight would help keep it in place. Overall, it’s a good, affordable standing mat that serves its purpose, especially in a salon environment. It provides comfort and helps ease leg fatigue.

This floor mat does what it’s meant to do- puts some cushion under your feet during long periods of standing. The top mat is made of about 1/8 inch of a dense & durable rubber. Some of the edges where it’s glued together underneath were a little loose in places, but it doesn’t affect performance (and it’s nothing noticeable once it’s down). I was a little worried that the corners may curl, but that hasn’t been an issue. Is this the nicest, fanciest mat you can put in your shop? Probably not, but it’s thick, comfortable, durable, and does a good job at a good price.
