I went into REI and tried on at LEAST a dozen pairs of hiking shoes, and when I got to these I fell in love! They fit my feet like a glove, super comfortable, and I can definitely say they are waterproof up to the point where they're supposed to be; I've been through many puddles haha. The shoes are high quality and very soft/comfortable soles. However, the shoes did run a bit tighter than past Salomon shoes I’ve bought, they haven’t loosened up too much. I have wide feet, and other Salomon shoes fit great, but you might want to buy this pair a size or .5 more than usual if you have wide feet ... show more

These boots are not what I consider Salomon shoes to be. Here are some of my gripes Keith these. 1- The forefoot of these boots are hard and would really hurt my feet after wearing these a few hours. 2- The tread of these boots hold on to mud like a fat kid holds on to cake. 3- these are just plain ugly. I always add insoles to my shoes for added comfort. The shoes insoles are so comfortable that I didn’t have to. I use those as my everyday shoes for work and gym.
