EDIT: I am changing my review from two stars to five stars. GBHome reached out to me immediately and offered to send me a whole new set of dishes. This set arrived perfect. I am very pleased with their customer service. Excellent company. I am super happy to have a full set of dishes as I love the sleek modern design of this set. Unfortunately, I received a broken set. The GBHOME Ceramic Dinnerware Sets for 4 is a nice set, but the packaging isn't sufficient for delivery. The appearance of the dishes is modern and sleek. The quality seems good, but looking at the broken plate, they are very fragile. The ceramic seems rather porous which is likely why the plate came shattered. I think I am going to stick with stoneware. The broken ceramic is razor sharp which isn't safe. I was really hoping this was a really nice set. I would have bought a second set, but after seeing the shattered plate, I am going to pass. ... show more

I love this dinnerware. It is well made, microwaveable, dishwasher safe, and not very heavy. Yet, it doesn’t feel cheap, or fragile in any way. It is very stylish, and makes your food look so colorful, and bright. Eating is partially based on visual appeal, and I have a hard time eating, so seeing my food look more appealing helps me eat. I can’t imagine them getting scratched during normal use. I’m so glad I ordered these and am planning on ordering more. ... show more

This would be a good starter set for someone. I was happier with the plates than the bowls, which were a little too light weight and small. I understand the color is not supposed to be solid, bit had an odd area on one of the bowls.

I was pretty impressed right away with the weight of the package. The set comes nicely packaged and there were no chips or cracks in the set anywhere. Inside the main package, each item is then further packaged individually based on its category. I got the reactive glaze, speckled black set and it's very nice looking. The design is simple, yet elegant, and should fit nicely in any kitchen/ dining setting. Each piece is solid and heavy and is chip and scratch resistant. Nice set! Very pleased. The center of my plates have a raised area, but honestly, it doesn't bother me, and somewhere I read it has something to do with the thermal surface of the bottom. ... show more

These are a nice shade of green that are easy to clean and wash nicely in the dishwasher. They're heavy, especially the large plates, and hold a lot of heat. I like that the plates have a nice lip on them. I wish the bowls were slightly deeper, but they hold a decent amount.

Likes - Heavy, stable, well-balanced plates and bowls - Dishwasher and microwave safe - Described as oven safe as well--I have not tried that myself - Nice off-white color - Pleasant texture Observations - Set contains four large plates, four medium-sized plates (like dessert or salad plates), and four bowls - The lip on the large plates is about an inch thick. I'm very excited about this set. This stoneware is solid, smooth and super clean-looking. The shape firmly nests into the next dish. They are about as heavy as any ceramic style dish of this size too. They are well-packaged from the manufacturer and arrived with no defects or chips. There is a slight divot in the plates on the top surface from the shape of the bottom stand; it's no issue to me but I did want to point that out. Entire set are made from quality material and sturdy. The options of colors will fit any design with a 4 person setting. Set is heady duty and durable so should definitely last overtime. Plates have that little lip around the edges to help to keep everything on the plate with the little ones.
