I love this so much I accidentally bought it twice! I bought my first Miracle Gel nail polish when I saw a pretty teal color around Easter time last year and then I realized I had to buy Step 2 also, but the color was so pretty I bought both. This particular review is about this lovely dark green shade. I thought it went on as smoothly as any of the Miracle Gels I’ve used before, and covered nicely in two coats. It could ALMOST have been one cost but the color is so dark that it was still visible that it was thin in some places. With the Step 2 coat that I put on top, this lasted me about a week before starting to chip. I used a sparkly gold/iridescent Step 2 and the one thing about doing that is it made the green seem even darker and at a glance it seemed more black than green. But I haven’t found a good medium green shade and this seemed good for Christmas, reminiscent of evergreens, so I’m still pretty happy with it. The one thing I have never loved about these Miracle Gels is that they don’t want you to bother with a base coat. They do go on well even without one, and they don’t stain my nails with their colors. But I still often use a base coat with them (Orly Top 2 Bottom is nice) and I feel like they’re a bit more resilient when I do. I have in the past misplaced my Step 2 and they seem to do OK with a different topcoat too, in a pinch. ... show more

I was looking for an icy, lemon yellow, and ordered this color. It’s not really how it’s depicted in the description or listing photos. That being said, I’m not mad at it. It is definitely neon, but it does lean a little green. Because the color intensifies with every layer, you will need a base coat and several coats of polish to get the results I did. It does go on streaky so this is not a one or two coat shade IMO. I’m pretty happy with the end result and would probably buy the shade again. My experience with this brand of polish has been consistently good as long as you prep your nails properly and use a decent topcoat. I’ll buy more shades. ... show more

    • Skip “Peach Please” - thin & streaky, chips fast, NOT a peach shade.

This is for the Peach Please shade. I have about 30 colors of these Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Step 1 polishes. I really don’t like this shade (nor recommend it) for these 2 reasons: 1. The shade itself - this is described and pictured as a peachy pink color, but this is a true bubblegum pink. Not what you want when you’re looking for a peach shade! I noticed this right away when looking at the bottle and confirmed it when applying. This has no business being named “peach” anything! 2. The formula - this is much thinner and streakier than my other colors of this same polish. Three coats and I still see lines, streaks, and patches. It also dries much quicker than other colors I have, resulting in an uneven application. Overall I would skip this shade. Since I cannot return it, I’ll have to rely on chunky glitter top coats to make this one work. ... show more
