I’ve got a bunch of bushes around my property that need trimming and some areas of my yard the mower can’t reach. I ordered this since it seemed to do both, and I’m happy to report it does! It’s very light and easy for a person terrified of power tools (me… it’s me. I’m terrified of them) to use. I was clipping branches 5 minutes after it got delivered. So easy to swap the blades and I felt so safe using it. It won’t go through big branches if that’s what you’re looking for, but it did all the smaller (maybe 1/2” diameter or so?) no problem. If I hit a big branch, it just stopped, so no biggie. Then I swapped to the grass trimmer in a few seconds and away I went shaving the yard. Again, super easy. I am so impressed with this new tool - I already own the SAKER mini chainsaw and thought I would try this sister tool. I now have my neighbors walking over and interested in ordering one. I work in a high school and have 3 teachers purchasing it. I am so pleased at how well this hedger works and the battery life lasted a LONG time!! I did originally order the spare battery package not knowing the original battery would last so long. This is high on my list for Christmas gifts!!!! We liked the product and thought it was a valuable tool for the price. The first day we used it, the large blade stopped working almost immediately on very small garden weeds. It started up again about 5 minutes later, but then stopped again and we could not get it to start. It seemed to be jammed and for no reason. The mechanism that attaches to the long tool would not move at all. I planned to return it, but my husband worked on it, put some of our other hand-held chain saw oil on it and got started again. Now it seems fine. It should come with lubricating oil as our chainsaw did. The only other negative is that there does not seem to be an option to buy another battery. The battery it comes with seems ok (not great), but if we had the option to buy another one, we would so we did not have to wait 2 hours for it to charge. Without the jamming issue, we would have given it 5 stars. ... show more

    • Great for little trimming jobs

Was tired of pulling out the full size hedge trimmer for smaller jobs. This works great for that in between time when I start to see some longer branches stick out, so can just go around and trim off the pieces that need it. Saves me dragging out the 33 gal garbage can and rake to clean up when it all gets overgrown. Grass trimmer attachment is so helpful too - my yard has some tight corners with landscaping borders and this works great to get in where the mower doesn't reach. Light weight plastic, but seems sturdy enough, although squeezing the side tabs required to insert the attachments can be a struggle with one hand, while trying to hold one piece and attach the other. Charge seems great - I went around my entire house and yard with the grass attachment, maybe about a half hour, and went to recharge and it didn't need it - still showed a full charge. I got the option with two batteries and it did come with the nice storage case. ... show more

It is small enough for me to handle and it does the job. It is not heavy and I can move it around my hedges. The smaller one cut the grass along my driveway and flower bed. Now that it is cooler will be able to use them more. Love the safety cover features too which cut down on accidents.

Not the best cutting action. Maybe if blades were sharper and certainly a more powerful battery would help. The quality and fitment is good and it came in a blow mold case. Maybe just the technology is only adequate. A weed wacker certainly does a better and faster job, but I use this close around my shrubs afterward. I would recommend this brand (Saker) as no other brand is likely any better; some not even 20v. ... show more

I love this tool, the grass trimmer is easy to use and works hard. The hedge trimmer does a great job . The battery lasts a long time before it needs charging . I want to be outside using these all the time. Who says it’s not women’s job!
