I have many speakers such as home stereo, separate speakers for just music and studio monitors. my wife wanted something just for her. I bought a reciever, cd/DVD player and the above speakers. it great sound ( a little to much mids ) but over all a great bookshelf speaker. my wife loves the system(which was the point, she also doesn't give a hoot about mids). I would rate these at 4.5 stars. she gave the 5. compact,good value, connection I seconds........and.... great value......wife's or partners out there, make your buy them...........performance like the big boys, fills the room with great crisp highs and great lows. range in my apt I fantastic............great stuff for the money........Donnie P ... show more

I'm using these as computer speakers with a Fosi Audio BT30D amp. The fit and finish is good. They sound a little flat by themselves; ok but not spectacular. However when comined with a decent subwoofer everything changes. Add a graphic equalizer like FxSound (free download) and it gets even better. I'm satisfied and will keep them. For the price I'd even say they're a good deal. But I wouldn't use them for main speakers or even surround speakers for home theater. If you're expecting high fidelity you'll likely be disappointed. ... show more

I wasn't sure what to expect from these, since I've always used Sony or Kenwood. I just needed these to pair with a small amplifier for my TV. Surprising sound for the price and definitely has good frequency response for small speakers. I don't plan on pushing them too far for max volume, but they are loud enough with clear sound for a standard sized living room. Clear and distortion free at comfortable listening volumes, with acceptable bass response. I would recommend these for the price. I got the bundle of center speaker and these 2..have a 10x20 living room.. Absolutely fills the room. Amazing sound. Don't even need a subwoofer. Clear, crisp, full sound. Have hooked into a 2010 sony receiver.
