The installation of the base was actually pretty simple, took about a half hour. What takes forever is all the little crystals and glass bulbs. We installed the chandelier 2 days ago in my fingers still hurt from peeling a part the little clasps on each individual glass piece. It's a beautiful chandelier, my wife refers to it as a "panty dropper", but, it was definitely packaged to save the seller money at the expense of the buyers time to put it together. ... show more

This chandelier is phenomenal. I asked an electrician to install the base because it is very heavy, but I installed the crystals. Two of the border (tube) crystals arrived broken, thank goodness there were extras. The crystal pendants took me two hours to hang. There are 76 border tubes and 104 pendants. They are fragile so I suggest to be extra careful with hanging them. I highly recommend this chandelier. One reviewer said it is plastic, that’s not true. This is a beautiful chandelier, this requires lot of modifications to fix it to ceiling. Needed multiple trips to homedepot to get necessary parts. This is meant for fixing it to concrete ceiling or wooden ceiling and not for US standard studs. Overall very satisfied, reduced 1 star due to difficulty in installation. ... show more

This light is VERY heavy when assembled. Make sure you have an Anchor OTHER than the ones it comes with. I had it up and it was so heavy it broke the drywall and I had to put it up with three people to get it back up.
