The media could not be loaded. We successfully hatched 9 baby chicks our first time hatching. We originally placed 12 eggs in the incubator but after we candled them early on a few had blood rings and were no longer developing. The remaining 9 all hatched within about a 24 hour period starting on day 21. This was a great experience for my kids to watch and add some new chicks to our flock. I would say it was really tight quarters for 9 chicks to be all in together during the hatching process. I would probably only put about 6 eggs next time. While they do all fit it doesn’t look they they all fit comfortably while waiting on the rest to hatch. The only other thing I would change is the water reserve on this. When you use a bottle full of water it just completely empties into the bottom on the incubator all at once. I just added a small amount of water daily to keep up the humidity. ... show more
