Description
More drag efficiency is the hallmark of the Shimano Sahara R Rear Drag Spinning Reel. Its rear-adjustable drag knob is located at the back of the reel; so you don't have to interfere with the line to make a quick adjustment. And the Sahara R also features Shimano's Fightin' Drag II; which adds a rear strike lever that enables solid hooksets without losing your drag setting. Click the lever to the strike position to tighten up for hooksetting; then flip it back to immediately return to the original drag setting to fight the fish in. As always; the Sahara R provides Shimano quality at an affordable price; with its graphite body and rotor; 1-piece bail wire; durable cold- forged spool with smooth Propulsion Line Management System; and 3+1 bearing system. From an angling perspective; every individual who has owned and enjoyed using Shimano tackle has a reason to thank a Japanese visionary named Shozaburo Shimano; who in 1921 declared “I aim to make Shimano's products the best in Kansai; then the best in Japan; and finally the best in the world." For over 80 years; Shimano has concentrated on precision engineering; one step at a time. Creating the most innovative products and processes you can hold in your hand today.
