This is easily one of my favorite camper upgrades. We were able to install it in under five minutes, which was a huge win right from the start. With a small child, we’re constantly reminding everyone to “close the door,” especially during camping season. This has made a huge difference. It keeps the screen door pulled shut, so even if someone forgets, we’re still protected from bugs getting in. I love that you can adjust the tension to fit your needs. The setting I currently use doesn’t fully close the main door on its own, but it reliably keeps the screen door shut—which is really what I needed most. Overall, this has been a fantastic purchase. From a performance standpoint, the adjustable tension feature is both its biggest strength and its main challenge. When dialed in correctly, the closer provides smooth, reliable automatic closing that helps keep bugs out and reduces the need to manually shut the door. However, the adjustment range is somewhat sensitive—set the tension too high and the door tends to slam shut, which could lead to wear over time or be disruptive in a quiet campsite. On the flip side, setting it too loose means the door may not fully close, especially in moderate wind conditions. Installation is fairly straightforward in theory, and the included accessories are a nice touch, making it compatible with most camper latches and travel trailer handles. That said, real-world installation can be tricky depending on your RV’s door geometry. Easy install, works well. I had a little trouble after installing dog safe grates on my lower door panel because they made the center bar on my door unaccessible for mounting this. Then I saw another reviewers pic that showed it mounted at the very bottom of the door. That worked perfectly for us! It's out of the way, barely noticeable and works well. I am going to heed another reviewers warning and go ahead and purchase the replacement cord to keep on hand in case it breaks during a trip. Our main reason for purchase is two lightening fast small dogs that like to camp but LOVE to run. I think this will help us keep everybody on board together. ... show more

Disclaimer: this review is written same day installed. I will update if anything changes. We changed out our RV door from all glass to standard. Only this door doesn’t have friction hinges. We attached he’d a magnet latch at the bottom corner to keep the main door open when we want only the screen. We also installed this RV Screen Door Closer. Even with the door/ screen connected, the tension is sufficient to close the door gently. Very handy when coming/going with my hands full! ... show more

    • Nice closer for the price
Easy to install and worked very well. Drills provided do work but suggest using a punch prior to using those so bit does not wander. Also may need to use a counter drill for the cable support because to screws are tapered and may not clear the screen door.

Great auto screen door closer, easy to install, works great well worth the $$. Recommend to anyone who has an RV that does not have their screens close by them selves. NOTE : even closed when had screen connected to door.
