  • Not for Hardcore Sim Racers
Style: Ferrari F1 Wheel
This is a great wheel. The paddles are metal and give a satisfying click. The switches and buttons are nicely located and easy to reach with your thumbs. It's got rubberized grips and a good weight to it. Yes, it's a bummer that the dial switches are fake and the stickers around them are, well, just stickers. But for the price, this wheel is still very pretty and feels great in your hands. When mine's not mounted on my wheel base, I display it on a shelf because it's a great piece of art as well. I've got mine mounted on a Thrustmaster T500rs base. I predominantly play F1 and Project CARS on PS4. I Own multiple rims for my T500rs and this is my go-to for most open wheel racing. It works very well with the games I play and transmits the T500's force feedback very nicely. In fact I think it's lighter than all the other Thrustmaster rims so you definitely feel the most FFB with this. This wheel has enough buttons to give console players all the functionally they can get out of a wheel. There are enough buttons to correspond with all the buttons on PS4/XB1 controllers. PC racers might find that the fake dial switches hinder their experience with this wheel though depending on how many buttons they need to assign. For casual and even semi serious sim racers, this wheel offers plenty and will do the job nicely for you. Hardcore sim racers might find this wheel to be more of a toy though and opt for something more realistic. But the price jump between this wheel and a more realistic F1 style wheel is quite steep. ... show more

  • Lots of buttons.
Style: Ferrari F1 Wheel
I mainly bought this because I like having lots of buttons. This thing does not disappoint in that area. I've used it regularly for about 8 months and it seems to be holding up well. Everything works very precisely. I only use this one wheel, so I have not swapped it out with others with the TX base... no idea about the viability or durability of that feature. All of the dial-type switches that you see in the picture that are in the "hub" part of the wheel are just fakes/decals. Which is a little cheesy and unfortunate, IMO. I'm a real tifosi, so I appreciate the Ferrari logo, but I think this thing would look less like a toy without the fake switches. The wheel is also, like every other game controller I've ever come across, smaller scale than real life. All in all, if you have this base and need a controller with lots of buttons, I think this is your only option. It works great for me, though and ironically is one of the less expensive wheels for this base. ... show more

  • Fake dials but feels but better drive ability than their overrated Thrustmaster-VG-Open-Wheel-Add-PC
Style: Ferrari F1 Wheel
I have owned this wheel for over 3 years and the Thrustmaster-VG-Open-Wheel for 2 years. This racing wheel does not look as good a the Thrustmaster F1 racing wheel but its is sturdier and less play and more realistic that the TM VG Open wheel. This wheel is more precise by far that the TM VG open wheel. There is an adherent turn lag in the overrated TM VG Open Wheel that is obsolete in this showy wheel. I have several wheel s but this one stays in my servo. You need this wheel ... show more

  • For F1 fans or other cars using this shaped rim and MUST have it or you need leg room. Others pass ot it.
Style: Ferrari F1 Wheel
Let face it the F1 wheel looks incredibly cool and you know you must touch it, hold it, feel it. You read the reviews and know its lightweight plastic and feels cheap out the box. The decals are simply stuck on and not even sealed. The dials are raised plastic and like the center piece do nothing. Other than views and a few others I would never use them anyways. Yet still just like me you stare and MUST have it. So get it over with and buy it like I did. Good- All the above is true but once attached it feels solid and substantial. It really does add to the F1 sensation of driving the cars, transfers FFB well and my lap times were better. Also a bonus the shape gives you better clearance underneath for your legs. Now the negatives other than the above mentioned cosmetic and cost reduction measures. IMO the stock wheel that came with the Ps4 T300RS feels much better on long races. Less hand strain and easier on the skin. The F1 is very hard rubber and while feels fabulous at first is not as comfortable and because of its specific F1 shape does not have as many way to hold it. As a second wheel for F1 immersion, get it. As your dedicated rim for all cars, the standard shaped are best. Imo the F1 wheel should retail for around $75-$100 for what you get. For $150 TM cut to many cosmetic corners. ... show more

  • At last, an affordable F1 wheel
Style: Ferrari F1 Wheel
The wheel feels great. Feedback is even better through this addon wheel than the one that came with the Thrustmaster T300. (YES! IT WORKS WITH THAT BASE!) As noted in other reviews, the 5 center dials are purely cosmetic. They are actually molded plastic, part of the wheel casing and do not turn at all. There are PLENTY of other controls that give you exactly what you want, where you want it. For instance, the two thumb wheels are positioned within easy reach to make adjustments to brake balance, fuel mixture, etc., while racing. One of the best purchases I have made. ... show more

  • Better than expected
Style: Ferrari F1 Wheel
This by far exceeded my expectations. While I would prefer a non-Ferrari replica with a blank center area (instead of the fake dials and stickers), all of the real buttons and switches are of a nice quality. I do mostly open-wheel racing on iRacing (Pro Mazda is what I’ve been testing it out with) and it’s a huge step up from the standard T300 RS-GT wheel. I play in VR so the quantity of buttons are very welcomed too. As far as ergonomics, I have a nagging wrist injury and during long sessions with this my forearms get tired before my wrist hurts... so, for me at least, it is far superior to the standard RS300 wheel. The hokey fake dials almost scared me away, but I would definitely buy it again and am very happy with it. ... show more
