  • Very affordable and good quality seat!
One of my favorite car seats!! Have bought multiple times for my children. Converts from infant to toddler seat to booster seat! Very comfortable and supportive for child. Easy to clean and move in and out of the vehicle. Straps are easy to adjust to ensure proper fit. Comes in several cute designs to put all types. The seat itself isn’t overwhelming heavy and easy to transfer. ... show more

  • Worth it
Normally dont write reviews but going to write the review i needed at the time when i bought it. Previously had a Graco TriRide. Caused my kid to have car sickness, threw up twice in it the week we got it. It was impossible to clean, had to trash it. Tried this one instead. I've had it for over a year at this point. Kid has had maybe two or three car sickness episodes in it due to outside factors, I don't blame the seat. She seems to like it well enough, seems comfy enough and she likes putting stuff in the cup holders. Cons: it can be difficult to install into car and to tighten the straps on kid. Usually my husband has to install it into the car. I can do it, but I have to push the seat down by sitting in it, and tighten the strap by pulling really hard. It is slightly easier to tighten the install strap by taking the front edge of the car sear cover off just enough to pull the install strap back through the the gap under the cup holder but then you have to get the car seat cover back on. (There are probably other reviews with a better explanation). I dont use the seatbelt installation method because it makes the car seat way too sideways, no matter how loose or tight the seat belt strap is, since the shoulder strap is angled so high. Might be fine when we switch to front facing though. For the actual kid harness, the shoulder straps do get caught and it can get annoying to make sure it's tight enough on the kid if you can't pull it hard enough, because it gets caught on the back opening. But they can get tight enough, just something to be aware of. I knew that when I bought it so wasn't surprised. Pros: the cover removes and goes back on easy. Slides off. There's 4 buttons. Easy. And it can be DRIED. No more waiting a day or two for it to air dry. I bought it specifically because I wanted to be able to dry the cover. Cleaning food and vomit - it's not super easy but way easier than the Graco seat we had. I do recommend getting 6inch cotton swab qtips and maybe a few long toothpick/skewers, maybe even a few pipe cleaners to have on hand just in case. But mainly the 6in cotton swabs. Buy them before you need them. Almost all spots can be cleaned, if you angle it right. Not great, harder if you have bigger hands, but not impossible. The ability to get it clean was the number 1 reason I bought this seat. There might be newer, better seats now but this one worked for us! ... show more

  • Excellent Car Seat for Our 1-Year-Old! Excellent Car Seat for Our 1-Year-Old!
We’ve been using this car seat for about three months now for our 1-year-old, and it’s been a great investment. The build quality feels very sturdy and secure, which gives us peace of mind every time we’re on the road. The padding is soft but supportive, and our little one seems comfortable even on longer trips—no more fussing within the first 10 minutes! Installation was straightforward with both the LATCH system and the seatbelt, and the adjustable recline is a great feature. It also has multiple harness height positions, so we know it will grow with our child for a while. Cleaning is also manageable—removing the fabric cover to wash was easier than I expected. One of the features I appreciate most is the side-impact protection. It gives me extra confidence that my baby is safe, especially with how unpredictable traffic can be. If I had to mention one downside, it’s a bit bulky, so it might be tight in a smaller car. But for us (we drive a full size cars), it’s not an issue. Highly recommend for parents looking for a reliable, safe, and comfy car seat for their growing toddler! ... show more

  • Safety 1st surprises me. I really like this seat!
Before we purchased the grow and go, we had also purchased a Chicco Nextfit and a Britax Pavilion. The Britax was in my husband's truck and the Chicco was in my 2 door focus. Both are fantastic carseats and extremely easy to install and to say i love them is an understatment. They are just expensive and we purchased them during sales and a Black Friday event. Well, i got rear ended (luckily my child wasn't with me) and needed to replace the Chicco but there were no sales or Black Friday events in April. I was unsure about dropping another 300 or 400 dollars on a car seat and I wasn't sure we "needed" it. We put the Britax in my car (once it was fixed) and was going to put the replacement in my husbands truck. My son is 2.5 so we didn't "need" anything rear facing but we wanted something that could grow with him when he was ready for a booster. They didn't yet have the grow with you carseats when we purchased the Britax and Chicco. The graco was expensive, and while we are not against spending a good amount of money on carseats we wanted something a little more economical. I read a good review on car seat for the littles about the Safety 1st and i liked the fact that it could turn into a booster later so we took a chance and ordered it. Plus i really love the blue color. It is a really good carseat in my opinion for the money. I was really surprised being used to the Britax and the Chicco. We don't rear face anymore so my experience is just in front facing as a convertible. I like the fact that it didn't weigh a lot and would be "easier" to move between cars if need be. It is cushy enough and my son seems comfortable. The straps are a little twisty but not too bad. It is easy enough to tighten although not as easy as the Britax (which clicks when it is tight enough) and the Chicco, (which is just the easiest car seat i have ever used especially around instalation.) Sometimes you do have to pull a little hard on the safety first. My son's favorite feature are the cup holders. He loves having two to put things in. One for his cars and the other for his milk. I think my favorite feature is the strap holders. It works really well and i love it. It makes it super easy to get him in and out. Installation is my main complaint and that is why i gave it 4 stars. Britax and Chicco have nice latch connectors and has someone who is 4 foot 11 made it super easy to install. I could install them myself in either vehicle. The Safety 1st is much harder to tighten down. I was not able to install it my self because i couldn't get it tight enought. However, my husband was able to install it and tighten it down just fine but he is much stronger then I. So that is one thing to consider. I would say that if you are looking for an economical car seat that can grow w/your child and you have someone who is strong enough to install it go with the safety first. If you want all the bells and whistles and are willing to pay the extra money for them and want easier installation go with a Britax or Chicco nextfit. ... show more
