My son was 15 months and about 24lb when he started using this car seat. We have it rear facing in a 2007 Toyota Matrix. In this vehicle it has to stay pretty upright, so it would not work for a newborn unless you have no passenger in the front seat. However, it is narrow and we have our new baby's infant seat right next to it in the middle seat, leaving the second door seat for me to sit and feed him when I need to. As for other things, It has a number of really nice features for the price point - I got it for a total steal on presidents day. Comfort: this kid naps and plays and is always happy to get in his car seat. Chest clip: I like! It can be fastened/unfastened with just one adult hand. Height adjustment: SO EASY. no rethreading straps! Straps: easy to tighten and loosen. They do get twisted kinda easy but it really is not a hassle to fix in my opinion. Installation: omg so easy. While it is pretty big to take out, doing so is quick and simple when we need to. I can have it back in place within 1 minute using the seatbelt path. Cleaning: I have yet to truly clean this thing but it seems like it should be easy enough. I'm so happy with this purchase and intend to get another one when my younger baby is sitting independently.

I absolutely love the Safety 1st EverSlim DLX Convertible Car Seat! The slim design is perfect for fitting multiple seats in the back, yet it still feels very sturdy and safe. Installation was straightforward, and I really like the SecureTech chest clip that shows when it’s properly fastened—it gives me extra peace of mind. So far I'm loving this chair. It's soft and cozy for my babe. Easy snap and unsnap. Keeps the head in good position even when slumped over, the straps are covered with a good cushion. Great value for the money for sure. Surprisingly not as heavy as some chairs, so much so that I could lift and install by myself (I'm 4'10" and petite). Doesn't take up too much space in the back seat. I feel very comfortable and confident with it.

i have 9 month old, she’s extremely curious and doesn’t always like to rear face unless she can see out the windows so i love that this is both rear and forward facing. it grows as she does so it turns into a forward facing, extended back booster and normal booster. it reclines for rear facing and the cup holders detach for easy cleaning, super easy to install, amazing build and functions great! puts my mind as ease for her safety!

The media could not be loaded. We bought this for our 2 year old, as her older seat was expired. We needed a seat that could fit behind a driver's side seat, so it needed to be small and compact, yet last us a few years as she grows. This one fit the bill perfectly. It has magnetic chest clip, but the anchor latches are the old style clips, and we thought it odd that it didn't have the easy touch style locks, so it was a challenge to install in that regards, as well as tightening the anchor belts for rear-facing. For safety that's not a big deal, as it means once it's snugly installed, there is not much concern for it loosening. One big design issue is that the snack cups cannot be reached by her when she is buckled in! She is not a big 2 year old but we still thought it weird to have the cups sticking so far out from the seat. Her arms are not long enough. If she was the only passenger, it just means she wouldn't be able to reach. She has an older sibling sitting next to her that she bugs to help, so that doesn't apply, but it might make a difference for other families. The 5 point harness is on the tougher side for tightening when our little is sitting in it as well, but we have figured out that quirk as well. Attached a video before installed in our car, showing the snack and drink cup issue. We also took the first layer of "padding" out after a couple trips because it looked like she was too "restricted", and now she is a lot more comfortable in it. The padding is Likely designed for an infant under 12 months, to make sure they aren't too loose in the seat, don't throw it away too soon, read your manuals to make sure your littles fit right.
