  • Comfortable
Color: Dunes Edge
Very comfortable adjust the straps to child's weight and size before placing in vehicle. It was a little hard to place the seat belt behind the seat to secure it. If you have small hands it may not be a challenge. Overall I like it and the kiddo like it. I like that all the plastic pieces are covered with plush as I live in AZ and those areas of the seat can get pretty hot ... show more

  • Good for a toddler who is new to facing forward, before using a backless booster
Color: High Street
I’m happy with this car seat. In terms of value and quality, I’m happy. You’re getting a well designed, safe, well constructed car seat for a nice price. That being said, I’m left scratching my head on why or how this can fit into your car seat rotation. I have four kids, the youngest being 10 months old. I also have a four year old and a seven year old and a teenager. So, we have used a lot of car seats over the years. So, let me explain… This seat fits into a small use window. So, I think my review will benefit you the most if I circle around that. Heavy: this is heavier than I thought it might be. We have a few booster seats with removable backs, and this is heavier than those. Of course, the quality of construction contributes to the weight. But I thought tihhs might be nice to travel with, but we have cheaper, lighter, back-attached booster seats. So, it doesn’t really win in portability. It only faces forward: so you can’t use this facing backwards. So, you really do have to wait until your child gets bigger in weight and height. The back comes off: but I’m not sure why you would choose this as a booster-only seat. There are better, narrower, cheaper booster seats on the market. So, who would use or want this? If you purchased a baby seat that only faces backwards, and you are now needing a front facing seat, but aren’t ready for a backless booster, or if your child tends to slouch over to one side while sleeping, this would be good for you. I wouldn’t choose this if you only needed a booster. I also wouldn’t choose this you have a convertible car seat that can face forward (you should just use that until your child can use a booster seat that utilizes the car’s seat belt). But, if you have a kid that meets the requirements to sit forward, but would benefit from still being in a harness (maybe they slouch when sleeping) this would be a good transition after a rear facing car seat, before jumping into a booster with a car seat belt. I’ve added some photos to my review as well—it shows you the width of this, compared to the Graco Slim XL (one of the narrowest car seats on the market). This is at least an inch, maybe two inches, wider, and bigger overall really. So, if every inc matters in your backseat, there are narrower options, but I would still consider this very narrow (but this wouldn’t do three across in our Kia Sorento and still give us access to seat belts). I hope tihs helps you think through the use of this. For now, we’ve decided to keep this in our second car, because both my four year old and my six year old can use it. And for my four year old, it holds her better and more safely than a booster seat would with a car seat belt. ... show more

  • This car seat made a great first impression
Color: High Street
This car seat made a great first impression straight out of the box because it feels sturdy without being bulky. It’s surprisingly lightweight, which made installation and moving it between vehicles much easier than expected. The materials feel durable, and the overall design looks practical rather than overcomplicated. What really stands out is how well it grows with your child. The transition from a forward-facing harness to a high-back booster and then to a backless booster is straightforward and doesn’t require wrestling with parts or tools. The headrest adjustment is genuinely one-hand easy, and having seven height positions makes it simple to get a proper fit as your child grows. The slim profile is another big win—it fits three across in the back seat comfortably, which is a lifesaver for families with multiple kids or carpools. Day-to-day usability is strong. The cup holders are a thoughtful touch, and the fact that they’re removable and dishwasher-safe makes cleanup much less annoying. The seat cover coming off easily for machine washing is also a huge plus, especially for inevitable spills and messes. Comfort-wise, kids seem happy in it, even on longer drives, and the padding feels supportive without being overly plush. Performance-wise, it feels stable and secure in all modes, and the harness adjusts smoothly. Compared to other multi-stage booster seats, this one strikes a good balance between safety features, ease of use, and portability. It may not have premium extras like advanced latch systems or luxury padding, but it does the fundamentals very well. Pros include the smooth mode transitions, slim design, easy headrest adjustment, and simple cleanup. The main downside is that the padding is a bit more basic than higher-end seats, though it’s still comfortable and practical. Overall, this is a solid, no-nonsense option for parents who want one car seat that can keep up with their child for years. It’s especially ideal for families who need flexibility, easy maintenance, and a seat that works well for everyday driving and carpools alike. ... show more
