The seat has also been designed for a better reclined body position to give your baby a safe ride. The seat is also designed to be easier for parents to use. Its lightweight and easy to carry, weighing less than 8 pounds. The harness adjusts easily from the front of the seat with a simple pull for a secure fit for your child, and the base height adjusts for the right fit to your car. The car seat is compatible with all strollers that feature QuickClick, including our Smooth Ride travel systems. This allows you to securely attach the car seat to your stroller with one simple click, making it easy to use the car seat and a stroller together as a travel system. The first thing I noticed about this car seat when it arrived was just how LIGHT it was. Even with the base attached, the whole system was super easy to carry around with one arm. So taking the base off and adding a small baby really doesn't change much, it is still a nice light seat. It has a really nice and soft cushion on the inside, making it a comfortable ride for baby, but it still has the firmness of safety and security. The seat was really easy to install. You just take the belts of the base and hook them to the two latches in your car, tighten the strap and make sure the seat is at the correct level. Even if you are an expert at putting in car seats I still highly recommend visiting a fire station or some places offer walk ins where a professional will come out and check your car seat's installation. You can never be too safe with baby! Everything on the seat is easy to maneuver. The button to release from the base is easy to find and click. The shade is easy to pull up and down, the handle is easy to put down and place upright, the straps are easy to adjust and the seatbelt button is easy to press and release. So really this seat is nice and simple to use but does not skimp on safety or security by any means. The only thing I fear with this car seat is just how hot it might get in the summer with it being completely black. Whether the seat has been sitting in the car or if you pull it out and do some errands outside while carrying it. So just use caution with that. Overall though this is a fantastic seat from a great brand. It is small, light, easy to install, feels safe and secure and is just a great choice for any new baby. ... show more

I am using this durable black car seat as a backup car seat for my niece when she's over visiting at my house. The car seat fits perfectly in my Toyota Sienna van. I would say that the car seat is light weight and easy to set up or install in a vehicle. I do feel that the material could be a little thicker and the padding around the car seat and sitting area could be thicker also. I would say that the car seat is easy to take a part and clean. I feel that the price of the car seat is well worth the asking price and great compared to others on the market. ... show more

I got this car seat as an extra for when I have the grandbabies with me. It is such a hassle to trade out all the car seats when they visit. Safety 1st is a brand known for excellent products, so I felt good about ordering from them. It is much lighter than I remember them being when my kids were small, yet it seems sturdier. It has a base that is easy to install, and once in place, it remains with a low profile. The seat securely snaps into the base and is removed easily when released. I like that this will grow with your child, and its removable cushion surrounds for newborns give way to extra room when no longer needed. There are also four harness heights to get the safest fit for your child. I will admit that changing the harness height is not my favorite, but it makes this seat last longer as your child grows. It has a wide weight range from 8-32 pounds, so it should last for about two years for an average toddler in rear-facing mode. Adjusting the front chest strap and harness tightness is easy after securing the buckles. Releasing the buckles is hard for me to operate, so I know my grandbabies won't be able to escape once buckled in. You can remove the fabric cover and wash it, which will be necessary from time to time, and there is a full visor that can cover most of the baby for sun protection. The last time we bought a car seat we got a Graco and I was curious to see how this one compares. I found it isn't the easiest to install. But I would keep in mind that how easy or hard a car seat is to install can vary depending on your vehicle. We have a Santa Fe and, over the years have found that some seats are harder to install in the Santa Fe than in other vehicles and other car seats are easier to install in the Santa Fe so... Once it is in there it does secure nicely in the vehicle. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles some of the others do... and is lighter than other car seats. This is good when you have to carry it but it does seem flimsier. I have mixed feelings about this car seat. It would not be my first choice. ... show more

I got this car seat to have as an extra for travel and visits to grandparents' house. It's nice that it comes with a base - I hate having to adjust the car seat with a seat belt because it never feels quite as secure to me. The car seat is lightweight and easy to tighten. It doesn't have a lot of extra features, but I'm more concerned about safety. It doesn't feel quite as padded as my other brand name one, but I'm sure my baby is comfy. I got this from my friend who just found out she’s having her second baby and for an affordable car seat. This honestly is very plush and comfortable. It almost sits back far enough that you know the babies neck is going to be comfortable, especially as a newborn I personally hated getting car seats where my newborns neck was like sitting on top of their shoulders instead of resting back a little bit so that it was easier on them, but so far, she said that this car seat is extremely comfortable so I think that it’s definitely worth the money being on the lower end of the car seats ... show more

This is a great car seat for your infant. The setup is easy and you can install is very straight forward. Good for keeping your toddler safe. A must have. This is rear facing with weight rating up to 35 lbs. Overall seat is very light weight and easy to carry.
