I've suffered from annoying tonsil stones for at least the past 15 years (though probably longer, I just didn't know I had them). Mine sometimes get the size of a large pea, and will actually rub and irritate my tonsil and throat to the point of bleeding. This little LED light and syringe kit is very easy to use, and a great value for the price. It is made of the highest quality plastic? No, but I'm ok with that. It's inexpensive, and works! Also, the light is very bright and makes it easy to visualize your tonsil, though using in a dark room works best. As soon as I received this kit, I immediately put it to use. I've had mulitple pesky stones in my left tonsil for the past several months, and try as I might I couldn't get them out. (This is what prompted me to try this kit in the first place.) I am happy to report, that upon using this lighted probe and syringe to irrigate my tonsil, I was successfully able to remove 3 large stones in the matter of about 2 minutes. My throat already feels so much better, and I can even tell that my mouth no longer has that sour sulfur taste. (Bleh!) This kit is amazing, and I honestly should have bought it years ago! One word of warning: Although sometimes necessary, irriagating water directly into the crevasses of your tonsil doesn't feel very good. However, the discomfort only lasts for a second, and successfully getting that uncomfortable stone out is well worth it in my opinion. Also, the water (and possibly the disgusting stone) is likely to drip down your throat if your not quick about coughing it out once it's loosened (TMI I know, but if you're reading these reviews you already know what I'm talking about). Overall, I extremely happy with my purchase, and would buy this again in a heartbeat if something were to happen to my new stone removal kit!

I’m 45 and over the last 15 years, after a really hard sneeze, have discovered a small sesame seed size tonsil stone 7 to 10 times in my hand, or gargled and discovered one in the sink after. I finally figured out what it was via google and youtube. I knew what they smelled like from those times, and despite recently really sensing that odor in my tonsil and throat area sometimes lately I couldn’t find any using q-tips or anything. For the low price of this equipment I figured it was worth trying. WOW!! I knew they were there!! These tools helped me quickly find on one side, behind an otherwise impossible to view behind fold in my tonsil, that area was hiding a grape like cluster of tonsil stones. The light was plenty bright (someone advised turning off the bathroom lights when using the light tool and I agree, that helps), and the metal tool to pull back that fold of my tonsil was exactly what I needed to finally see the area. I ended up getting out about 10 of those small sesame seed size stones and the sense of the odor back there is gone. Most I got out quickly and easily with the light and the metal tool, but then I flushed the area with the syringe and discovered 3 more still that flushed out that I couldn’t see no matter what I had tried. Flushing the area was the hardest part . . . an electric water pick would be much easier than the a push one without a 3rd hand, but the syringe is doable and the stream that comes out of the provided syringe was, I think, much stronger than what I’ve seen from electric-water picks, but I’m not positive on that. Sooo glad I got this!!

These little tools are bad for what they are. Cheap little piece of plastic with 3 little batteries lighting a tiny little LED with little fingers to reach in and do the work. the only problem is the fingers are little short. you only get one long finger lol and the rest are way too short. So if they Enlarge the little case they give you with this product and throughout those stupid little tiny fingers and replace the 2 tiny fingers with 2 longer figures it would be 5 star.

Loved that this was a two pack—I gave one to my boyfriend and kept one for myself. He loves his for removing tonsil stones and the light up feature is very helpful. We appreciate the extra batteries that came with each one. Being that I don’t have much of an issue with tonsil stones, I allowed him to use mine to look in my ears... we should’ve looked more closely at the plastic piece first before putting it in my ear, because it had a small, but sharp piece sticking out leftover from when the plastic piece was molded (I’m assuming?) that scraped my ear canal. It wasn’t deep in my ear, and it didn’t bleed or anything, but left me with a persistent level of discomfort and warm feeling in that ear. After a week, I finally went to my doctor, and found out I have an ear canal infection :( currently treating with Rx and there no long term hearing damages expected from this minor issue—but please exercise caution if using this in your ears!

I ordered this from my mother's account and normally do not leave reviews under her name, but I really have to sing this thing's praises! I've never had a problem with tonsil stones, until recently. I noticed a large one a couple days ago that has been rubbing against the back of my throat, making it difficult to swallow. I knew it would have to be removed, but I didn't want to deal with making an appointment. A few at home methods I looked up didn't work for me--a Q-tip is too short to reach, I don't have a water pick, and I didn't have multiple days/weeks to wait for it to dissolve with the (frankly, nasty sounding) concoctions I found. So, I broke down and decided to buy a tool. I read a review that this type of tool worked well for someone with a severe gag reflex. That sold me, because I have the worst gag reflex of anyone I've ever met. I can't swallow pills, brushing my back teeth is a struggle, I can't even gargle without gagging. I hoped that this would be the solution--AND IT WAS. At first, I didn't think this thing could stand up to my ridiculous gag reflex. Even once I figured out the least-gagging angle, I still could only hold the gag back for a few seconds at a time, so it took me a couple tries to get it out. But it did come out and I feel so much better. If you have even a relatively normal human gag reflex, this tool won't give you any trouble. I cannot possibly recommend this took enough if you have annoying tonsil stones. Even if I never use it again, it was worth the cost just for the ease and convenience of this one use!

This kit is a life saver! I discovered I had tonsil stones a while back and I spent so much time and q-tips trying to keep them out. Even when I cleared so many stones out of my tonsils, my fiancé still told me that my breath smelled. After doing some research, I found this kit and it was so cheap I figured it couldn’t hurt to try. I had cleared out some stones 2 days ago and I thought I got them all out but when I used this kit, so much more came out! The holes that held the stones were so much deeper than I could see or reach with a q-tip. The light on the tool isn’t that bright but it’s helpful and I turned off the bathroom lights like people suggested. I found the syringe and the metal tool the most useful and easy to use. I plan to use the syringe daily to rinse my tonsils and flush out bacteria even if there are no stones. So happy I purchased this!

First off, let me say that I really NEVER leave reviews for anything lol. But this was one was needed!! I've suffered from reoccurring tonsil stones for the last three years. I've tried changing my diet, warm salt water gargle, any kind of gargling you can think of, I've tried it. Even had appointments with different ENTs. Both doctors said they would do a tonsillectomy, but they never returned my calls. I was literally depressed and at the end of my rope. I watched videos of people just popping them out, and I never could because of my overly sensitive gag reflex. Late one night, fed up, I decided to give it another go and I was able to dislodge it with my finger. I immediately came here to order this tool as to not scratch my tonsils trying to remove more. I will say I gagged a few times, but as someone mentioned, it's all about finding the angle that's most comfortable for you. The lighted attachment really helps. Thanks to this tool I have my confidence back, fresher breath, and I don't have to worry about a tonsillectomy!!! This is a God send!!

RUN AWAY FROM THIS HORRID PRODUCT! I've had tonsil stones for 20+ years. I became very skilled at using cotton swabs to get them out (past few years I've used 6" ones) since fingers, tongue, and gargling don't do it. I have one tonsil stone that's covered with a layer of skin. I thought maybe this would shed light on that. Well, seeing it, I pretty much knew there was no way I was extracting it so I went to the other tonsil with one of the crypts that always fills up. My tonsil started bleeding. I thought I made a mistake so I waited a few days to make sure I was healed and tried a different tip--bled again. Badly. This isn't just jabbing around. I returned it immediately.
