Bought another version of these Hamadan rugs in 9x 12 size for family room (in taupe, also 5 stars), and liked it so much I bought this second 8x 10 rug for the living room. I think these are great rugs for the price, though obviously not ‘authentic’ oriental rugs, and so far they stand up well to my cats. Easy to clean, vacuum, and the cats nails do not catch in the rug unlike several previous rugs. There was no odor to either rug upon arrival. They are nice, weighty, plush-feeling rugs that don’t need a pad. I have used some stick-on gripper pads to keep the corners flat on the wooden floor beneath, but no problems with creasing or curling of edges. ... show more

I had to lay it out in the sun for the afternoon to off-gas. Odor is basically gone now. It’s a plush, soft rug. It’s a “monet”. From a distance it’s beautiful! But, up close, while still pretty - you can tell it’s an inexpensive rug. It’s still a great deal! Just don’t expect it to be on par with an antique rug. This is a seriously beautiful rug, and 100% worth the price. I never write reviews, but buying a rug online can be so difficult, and this one really deserves a good review! We have had the rug for almost 6 months now and we have a very crazy dog who does zoomies all over it, and it still looks brand new- not a fiber out of place! The colors are beautiful and really warm up our space, not overly bright and quite true to the listing photos. You can obviously tell that it isn't a really fancy oriental rug and initially I wasn't sure if I loved how the strings come up as individual colors instead of more seamlessly dyed ones (see second photo and ignore the dog hair, our vacuum is broken at the moment), but now I just love it and with the room all together I don't see those tiny details. SO happy with my new runner. Beautiful, cushy and the colors brighten the whole house. It's intentionally not perfect in terms of the pattern, which I thought would drive my OCD self crazy, but it doesn't. Could not be more pleased with this addition to our home. This is a beautiful carpet it's soft and plush. Unfortunately it seems to photograph darker/deeper in colour than it actually is. I took a photo to show this and my picture also came out darker. I have uploaded an image where i tweaked the colour to try and show how bright it is. It is actually even brighter than my photo shows. I returned the carpet as it was too vibrant.
