I was pleasantly surprised. Any bad reviews must be from a botched rug/shipment because mine took about 24hrs to flatten out (with the help of some heavy furniture on ends). No smell whatsoever and the color is perfect/versatile to many decors. It is not thick at all, but it is soft to the touch. I wanted something that would be inexpensive, as this is in a high traffic area of our open concept living room (we have kids and dog/cat). This is simple and cute and gives a perfect minimalist/farmhouse/Scandinavian look etc. Light and dark grays mix with a cream background. The light gray can almost look green/gray (very faint), which I love since I have comfort gray (green/gray SW paint) on walls in the adjoining room- but just be aware of this. For a 9x12 rug to be under $150 and be quality and soft to the touch is a terrific buy! This is my 3rd Savavieh rug I've purchased in the past couple months since completing a revo/addition. I will continue to stick with this company since all experiences have been positive so far.

I needed a rug to withstand being in the family room with having a child, a dog, and a cat. Reading reviews this one had good ones with being able to be cleaned nicely. Well within a few days of having the rug, cat decided to hack up a hairball and I needed to clean two areas. It did really well and no noticeable spots. We did get a pad to go under it, if not it would have been on the thin side by itself. We do have laminate floors so it is not sitting on top of carpet. I would have liked it to have been softer but I think that would have lead to a rug that would not withstand spot cleaning. Will have to see how it handles life over time.

Perfect for the price I paid but I can understand now why rugs are better quality at a higher price. I am happy with the look of the rug over all. I should have bought some kind of sticky pads to hold the corners down since two of the corners constantly folded up no matter how long I would sit stuff on them to try and get them to lay flat. My pup chewed up the corners that kept folding up.

This runner was exactly what I was looking for. It is a little stiff so it took a few days for the corners to lay flat. It doesn’t have a rubber bottom so if going on a wood floor you will want to use some rug grip underneath otherwise it slides easily.

We received it today and right away opened it and set it up. It’s so soft and the color is perfect. The picture shows it a bit darker than what it really is in person. We got the light grey. It was packaged very well. No smells, some creases, but I know those go away with time.
