Nice rug with a little less than 1/2 " pile. We bought two, one rectangular, one round, to fill our "odd shaped" living room. We look out onto the ocean and the rugs blend seamlessly with the sea. The large rug does take a bit of time to straighten out (it is shipped folded over several times) and it's not quite square, so expect to hide one side under a couch if you buy the large size. Ok, wow. This is a nice rug (grey- photo attached). It took me forever to find a rug I liked. I am very happy. Unrolled nicely, however I did have to put a couple of heavy items on the side/corners that were rolled on inside of rug. I think this is to be expected and normal. I have had it now for 5 days and corners lay well with no sheadig what so ever. Also vacuums nicely. It has two shades of grey (cool and warm shades) with some swirled in cream accents. My furniture is a warm grey and it blends well. I was also concerned about too much cream as I wanted something that would hide dirt. Very happy with my purchase! ... show more

Nice thick, heavy rug. Great value for the price. I also purchased the matching accent rugs or the entryways. The color blend and variation is gorgeous and easily matches the different colors of my living room. I get a lot of compliments on these rugs from visitors. They are easy for my Roomba to go from my hard floor to the area rug and back efficiently. That helps to keep them nice and clean. You will need to purchase something to help hold them in place if you don't place furniture on them. But that was a very easy fix. This is our second Safavieh rug purchase this year. We have yet to be disappointed! This rug is not as plush or soft as some of their shags but it definitely is made for high traffic areas such as our living room. It is semi- soft under foot and is welcoming on cold floors. It came rolled up with instructions and was delivered straight to our door. It unrolled and took just a bit to air out and flatten. We put heavy books on the corners to get it to lay flat faster. The colors are wonderful. Within a minute of putting it down, our oldest dog immediately lied down on it wagging. If you have kids and big fluffy dogs, this is the rug for you! It is extremely easy to vacuum. You will want a rug pad under it for hard flooring as it will slip without. We got a basic pad for this rug and will be ordering a more heavy duty pad when we order the larger version for under our coffee table. ... show more
