What’s worse than ordering a rug online and then hating it when it arrives? I’ve been there, so was pretty wary about ordering a new rug for my dining room, especially in such a large size. (Meaning extra hassle should I decide to return it.) So far I love it! I like the neutral color yet interesting texture; you can see on each side of the table the light catches the fibers differently. Despite being a creamy color it seems like most stubborn stains would blend decently. I just had delivery guys stomp all over it to deliver my new table, and it seems like it will hold up well to traffic. It is a little softer than wool rugs traditionally feel underfoot, and if it were in a living room I would probably add a pad underneath, but for my purposes it cozies up the room very nicely. In the ~2 hours it’s been laid out on the floor, the wrinkles from the folded packaging are already smoothing out well. So I’m happy with this decision. Would definitely purchase again! Note it is slightly warmer/less gray in real life than the pictures. The photo of the large rug laid out by itself with no table is pretty true to the color. ... show more

I ordered the light grey. It was a lot lighter than expected but we decided to keep it. I have had this rug for about 4 months now. Three days after we put the rug down, we had a flood in the house. It destroyed our floors, but we picked the rug up and took it outside to dry on our patio set. It was horrifically heavy when wet, but to our surprise, the rug was not damaged. Being a very light colored rug, it does collect stains easily. However, we have yet to get a stain that was not removable with our Bissell little green machine. It's very soft, although not the softest rug I've ever owned. It hides dirt and stains really well due to how the material is, it's like the kinda material where if some of the Tufts are facing one way and some are facing the opposite, it's darker or lighter. I have heard some complain this makes the rug look dirty, and though I kinda agree it does a little, knowing it's clean it doesn't bother me too much. I find it helps to hide the fur from my three cats and dirt because of it. Speaking of cats, despite my screams and buying new scratching posts, they have tried their hardest to scratch this rug to death and I've only gotten one small little pull I was able to trim off, which is a HUGE bonus. We are quite happy with it and I'm planning to get a similar design from the same brand for my dining room once our flooring is replaced. ... show more

The color is exactly what I was hoping for. We ordered the cream/beige version, and it looks beautiful in person. There is a slight synthetic smell when you first open it, and the rug still has some creases from being folded during shipping, but I think it just needs a little time to flatten out. This is a very pretty rug. It was the perfect size for my kitchen sink. It doesn't slide around. The dark grey isn't as dark and I wish it was more dimensional as the closeup listing as I love texture. Looks more expensive than the others that are printed. I am not the only one who received a used rug from Home Trends. It had a distinct smell of dirt-not chemicals like new carpet- but actual dirt. It was all over dirty-definitely not a new rug. I requested the seller pick up the rug at their expense. The onus of returning a large (10x14) heavy rug that you thought was new and came used should not be on the buyer. I will not buy anything from Home Trends again. We contacted Home Trends and they were not helpful. One star was given because the quality is very good. This rug really exceeded our expectations. We researched so many different ones, but kept coming back to this one and felt it was best for our space. And we were right. It fits absolutely perfectly and feels amazing. It's extremely well made and soft. We did end up getting an extra felt pad for the bottom just because we have kids. But it's so soft and well made enough that it's not really necessary. If you have wood floors, a no slip floor gripper or corner rug tape might be a good idea, unless you have couches and/coffee table weighing it down. It also does come folded, but we just put it down and it's already flattening out nicely, so we're not too concerned about the creases. Again, again rug and we look forward to purchasing again from this company next time we're in need of a high quality rug. ... show more
