I was pleasantly surprised with this area rug. We needed an 8'x11' area rug that wasn't too expensive and this one was the perfect price. We were looking for something a little more traditional but decided on this one due to it's size and it's ability to go with almost anything. When we received it it was wound so tightly that I thought they had shipped the wrong size. We opened it up thinking we would have to repack and return it but found that it was the rug we ordered. We were concerned that the rug would roll on the edges because of being packed so tightly but once we had it positioned, it was perfectly flat. The media could not be loaded. We had the beige one and when we got a new dog he urinated in it. I purchased the marble one as a replacement and I absolutely love it. The color really brightens the room and pulls together the color on the floor and the walls. This is softer on the feet than the one we bought in 2007. This is a beautiful natural fiber carpet that compliments my sunroom perfectly, especially against the dark floor. I bought this rug three years ago and liked it very much but decided to try a replacement natural fiber rug without a cloth edging. Henceforth I have purchased two others and immediately returned them due to substandard materials, bad weave patterns, and crooked edges and corners. I ordered this rug again with the marble edging and could not be happier. Never should’ve wasted my time and energy looking for a different replacement. There is a nice rubberized backing, the material and weave is very nice, it required no trimming or attention, flattened out right away (after reverse rolling) and the edges were clean and even. I had been looking for a dark brown, small-dimension rug for a long time so I was glad to find this. I own two other natural fiber rugs by this brand and they have been used heavily for about 7 years and they still look just about perfect. Highly recommend. Tbh, I bought this rug for my cats. Its made of durable sisal and this would be one scratch mat they could NOT destroy. But.....gosh.....its so pretty and soft and well-made!!!! I dont want them to scratch it up but that's what I bought it for, so its all theirs hahaha The part about the being rolled up for shipping and then giving it time to flatten itself out but it still refuses to flatten on its own? Yeah I tried the included instructions that for 3 days. Didn't work. So, then, I reverse rolled it up and wedged it in something and 24 hours later......NO end-zone bump!! I purchased a 2x6 sisal runner to use as a scratching pad for my cats. We have scratching "posts" but one of them do not like to go vertical when scratching. This protects the nice carpet I have down as that was their go to. Now they only use this and have stopped scratching the carpet and all furniture in that room. Fantastic! I've had it over a month and see no significant wear and tear (or shedding) even after they go at it several times a day. They absolutely love this and it is so worth it.
