This was exactly what I wanted for my front door where everybody including all of my canine friends enter my house. I am happy with this natural fiber product. The smell does not bother me at all. After I unwrapped it, I noticed a slight odor but it has long dissipated amid the aroma of dogs and baby diapers. The binding on this carpet is brown, the color is stated natural, and brown is not really natural to me. By the time I opened it, it was passed the date to return.
