DANGER - DANGER - DANGER. Product not sold as described! This was one of the worst purchases we've made on Amazon. The vendor claimed it was made in the USA -- it is made in China. The vendor claims it's not sprayed with fire retardants. It is, and the amount of VOCs off-gassing are enough to make one lightheaded. The actual weave is low quality and seems to come undone with minimal effort. I am shocked that this item was falsely advertised as being natural. The only thing that's natural about it is the fiber. The rest is a man-made chemical amalgamation of dangerous compounds that are not meant to be inside one's home, let alone near where people and animals may be. If you like pseudo-natural rugs that make your home smell like a petrochemical factory, will unravel with minimal usage and aren't actually made in the USA as claimed then this one is for you. Great neutral rug for our dining room! Love the natural fiber, but it's not rough under foot. The non-slip backing is perfect. We purchased the 8x10 and have been very pleased with it so far.

I had purchased another area rug when we moved into our apartment but it only last 2 weeks. It was the same price as this 8x10 rug but the quality was terrible. I found this rug and crossed all of my fingers that I would have better success. And I did. It's PERFECT. I have three dogs and it's nice for them to be able to walk on this without pulling out any loops or seems. It's very easy to clean and maintain. It's not as soft of a rug to walk on (personally) but for the money, it's a great value and for a high traffic area, it's perfect! ... show more

This rug is a good value and I am pleased with my purchase. The biggest drawback is the smell. I have to leave the windows open and even with that, the entire house smells of his rug. Hopefully the smell will disappear in a few more days. Also the size was a bit smaller than 9' x 12" by a few inches, didn't bother me too much though. There are some dark spots (doesn't look like a stain, just a dark area in the fibers) and little "nubby" areas in the rug, but not so noticeable when you look at the rug. Overall I would say it is a good buy if you are looking for an inexpensive rug that is made of natural fibers. I chose the "marble" color and it brightens up the room nicely. ... show more

When looking for large rooms I love a good AFFORDABLE rug that can anchor a bunch of furntiure. I have purchased this rug over and over again for myself and for client's home. No need to purchase a rug pad because it has one built into the back. Love the subtle pattern and super soft on bare feet. I have vacuumed several times and still looks new. I love how this looks in my living room! I set the Safavieh vintage rug I bought earler on top of this sisal rug and it looks so cute! Very stylish! Some reviewers said it had a smell when they got it but mine didn't smell at all. Plus it lay flat on the floor as soon as I unrolled it. I just laid it down today so I can't review whether it's easy to clean yet but it's such high quality I don't think there will be a problem.
