I used it to wrap around my cat's scratching post - it's pretty thick, so the fibers are a little bigger than what is expected in scratching posts and it took awhile to cut and set up. I ordered the 3’ x 5’ grey for the foot of my bed. This is a nice little rug, better than I anticipated. It’s soft to the touch and the color is nice. I love the weave too. I would say the rug is gray with a hint of light blue. Very pretty. I have read other reviews that complain about finding “twigs” in the weave. I think I found one little twig as depicted in one of my photos but, you have to remember, this rug is comprised of natural, earthy fibers. That’s part of the appeal of the Jute rug. Product was round and would not lay down properly, next time I will order without any binding. The binding was sewed so tightly there was no way it would lay down properly it was bowl up on the edges.

I wanted rough, scratchable rug for my cat's favorite grooming spot. He loves it and so do I! Texture is perfect for him to rub on and remove loose hair. It's also fun to scratch. I scratched at it a little and he swiped at my hand: he doesn't want me playing with his new wonderful thing!

    • Cleaning SAFAVIEH Natural Fiber Rug
I use this rug by the kitchen counter, and have a small vac to pick up to whatever may drop. Looks great and easy to clean. I gently clean it outside (weather permitting) with hot soapy water, rinse and let it dry. Good results.
