Before I write my review, I want to say, in advance, that everything has worked out ok. This rug is drop dead beautiful! The right green color is very hard to find. This one is the perfect color and perfect pattern for my bedroom. I LOVE it! I do think buyers should be aware that there was a terrible chemical smell when I first put it down. It is a large rug, so I could not easily take it up and put it somewhere else to air out. I woke up in the night coughing and gagging from the chemicals. I was very concerned that it was toxic, but, thankfully, that turned out not to be the case. After checking the Safavieh website, I found out that they do not use toxic chemicals in any of their rugs. It has taken a week of opened windows and fans, but the smell is gone. My suggestion is that BEFORE you bring this rug in the house, unroll it and air it out on a balcony, porch, or in your garage, if you can. The smell will go away, but it will take several days. If it hadn't initially smelled, or I had known to air it out first, I would have given it five stars. ... show more

I wanted to add a pop of color to my neutral dining space and this rug was perfect for it. The colors are beautiful ! It is thin so I recommend getting a thick rug pad if you’re putting it in the living room or bedroom, but for kitchen/dining area the thickness is perfect. I also got a matching runner for my kitchen because I love this rug so much ! The corners of the rug had some loose threads but for the price I think the quality is acceptable. ... show more

The beige in the rug matches the beige in the carpet and the violet color pops. Very happy with the colors. Thought it may be too much but, with the cream leather and the plain walls , it’s great. We think that the pattern will make it easy to clean as well as the short pile.

    • Perfect for a very long hallway

I ordered this to enhance and help sound proof a very long hallway. I will use a non-slip pad underneath. This carpet is perfect for my purposes and looks very nice. The price is amazing for such a long runner and I plan to order another in the exact same size and pattern.
