This carpet is beautiful! I got the grey, and depending on the time of day, the color will subtly change. There are multiple shades of grey and a little silver, then at times, you can maybe see some tan, but it is definitely in greys. It's very thick, and you don't feel the back, like with the real cheap shags. I love how soft it is to walk on barefooted, so all the time. I have furniture on two ends, and I was able to vacuum (w/o the beater on) without problems. I was nervous about buying without feeling it- But it is beautiful, soft, luxurious, the color is rich and it looks expensive. For the price, you simply can't beat this. I am going to purchase a 1/2 inch thick rug pad for underneath because we spend so much time lounging on the floor- But its a nice to have, not a must have.
