If you are sitting on the fence in questioning the other rave reviews about the absolute quality of this rug - and for the amazing price - you'll want to go ahead and hop on over to join the rest of us that pulled the trigger on this beauty! Lol, it is truly more comfy and plush on the other side ;) I can't say enough about the density of the weave, the beautiful pile, and it's ability to take your decor to a whole other level. I purchased the 6x9 in the Ivory, and it is a very pretty shade - not that dark yellowing effect, and not so light that it borders on white. And, the specs were exact to size. The rug arrived rolled in a very dense plastic factory seal - and sealed very well at that. There were also thick booties on both ends to protect the edges. You have to give major props to SAFAVIEH; as they obviously put as much thought and quality into their packaging as they do their products. I have yet to have ordered anything from this company that did not meet or exceed my hopes and expectations. Needless to say, I am totally - TOTALLY over the moon with this fantastic find. Just do it!

This is my 3rd Safavieh Milan rug, but my first navy one. My last 2 were a silvery gray color. Upon receiving it, there was a rip in the plastic packaging. Luckily the rug appears undamaged. I added a photo showing the rip in the packaging. The rug is similar to the silvery/gray ones I have with coloring, meaning it has a heather look too it… it’s not all solid navy just like my gray one wasn’t solid gray. You can see variations of lighter blue in it, but it’s subtle. After unwrapping the rug and rolling it out, I took a photo to show the way it looked (the last picture). It definitely needed a vacuum/fluff. The edges do curl up a little bit, due to being curled in the packaging. I have placed weights on the ends to flatten them down, should do the trick as this worked with my other 2 Milan rugs. Once the rug was vacuumed/fluffed, it looked very nice. I do want to note it does have a slight smell, not overly strong but similar to a new car smell. If you’re looking for a navy flush carpet, this is definitely a good pick. Side note: Anyone curious (like I am sometimes), the couch is from La-z-boy, the blanket is a Bare Home microfiber throw blanket, the curtains are called “Dreaming Casa Royal Blue Velvet”, the large water bottle is called Ello Hydra Half Gallon, the pillow cases are Miulee Corduroy Dark Blue, and BeBen velvet dark blue lumbar pillow covers.

This rug is truly amazing! I very rarely write reviews but this rug deserved it! My husband and I have made comments almost daily about how much we love this rug. Our dog loves it too…so much so we considered getting rid of his dog bed because he lays on the rug way more than his bed now! Its incredibly plush even without a rug pad - thicker than any carpet in our house - yet it doesn’t feel “stringy” or “shaggy” like a lot of other cheap shag rugs. The fibers are super densely packed and we’ve had it for a few weeks and there are no signs of it getting matted down! I vacuum it weekly without the brush roll on and the dog hairs come out just fine. I would describe the color as “old fashioned vanilla icecream”. It’s definitely on the creamy side with a slight hint of yellow. I was sort of hoping for it to lean toward the oatmeal/tan side but it does not. If you’re trying to pair this with true white it won’t look good, but it works well with all of my ivory bedding and accents. The color doesn’t bother me so much because it was a great price and it is truly excellent quality! If I were to buy this quality of rug anywhere else it would have been well into the $400 range. I did some research on the different Safavieh rug lines before choosing this one and learned that the Milan rug (this one) has more densely packed fibers compared to some other lines of similar price, and I’m so glad I chose it! If you’ve been on the hunt for a creamy, dreamy, puffy cloud to cozy up your room, don’t bother looking any further!

This is the second Milan rug that we’ve purchased. We have one in our living room and one in our finished basement. I love the carpet! It’s very thick and soft, and it looks and feels beautiful. For this order, the first one that arrived had a horribly overpowering chemical smell. It radiated though our house and made us feel sick. Even upstairs on a different floor, we could still smell it. We had to move the rug out. Please know that this is NOT normal. Since we’ve purchased a Milan before, we knew it was a factory defect or something along those lines. We sent it back with no problem and reordered. The rug that arrived to replace it didn’t have that smell. Please don’t think a chemical smell that strong is normal for this rug! I’d purchase again and probably will! It’s a beautiful rug at a great price.
