This rug is beautiful to look at, a gorgeous pattern. However, it smells HORRIBLE and permeated my entire downstairs despite airing it out, lighting candles, spraying air freshener, etc. I also vacuumed it several times to try to alleviate the smell and help settle it down, and it shed so ridiculously, it filled my vacuum every time. Due to the effect of gray with cream, it gives a slightly greenish sensation, but it looks very good, the color is delicate and the drawing is better than I expected. It throws very little fluff, that is normal in a new carpet, it should not disappoint anyone. Regarding the smell, I have read many reviews before buying it. yes, it has a bit of a musty smell when you open it and if you stick your nose in the carpet. I think that's normal, because it comes wrapped in plastic and the heat does its thing. But let me tell you, I'm a smell freak and it doesn't bother me at all. it does not invade the house or the environment and over time I imagine that it will be impregnated with the beautiful perfumes of the home. quality is excellent.…. I have ordered many wool rugs but nothing ever had a smell like that!!! Wool has a distinctive scent but it’s never a smell of rotten cellar or sewer or I don’t even know what to compare it with. So far they stink up entire room and weather doesn’t cooperate to take them outside. Otherwise, the design is very pretty and I am on the fence what to do with them. We love this rug! Beautiful waves in hues of blue, cream and hints of grey and taupe. Very pleasing to the eye an not an over powering design. My husband said he wishes it was available in a wall to wall carpet. I would like to see it in an 11' x 14' size! With a rug pad, it has comfortable feel and does not show foot prints. Rug is very nice. At some this rug was folded in half while on the roll, it has a crease down the middle, I am waiting to see if it comes out. It’s been on my floor for six days and still there.
