I can't say enough good things about this rug. Unlike the nuloom rug I was replacing this is heavy and thick and just feels like quality. Also, as a huge plus for me this has some brownish undertones to it. I bought a couch from Kasala which although deemed "gray" has some very distinct brown undertones. Gray tends to either go a little towards blue or a little towards brown. If you need something that definitely looks gray, but won't clash with browns, this is it.

I'd been searching for a rug for myself for what seemed like months, when I ended up ordering my sister a rug for christmas from the Safavieh Dallas Shag Collection ($70 or so cheaper, also through Amazon). I really liked it, but thought it was a little thin for what I wanted (I think they call that the 'pile'...?), so I found this one (from the Safavieh Hudson Shag Collection) and its perfect! Much thinker and more luxurious than the other one. The color is also perfect. The "grey" isn't a solid color, so it blends in well with different shades.

This is the 2nd time we've purchased this ivory/gray 8x10 in about 1 year. THE GOOD (actually, great!): This rug is SO GORGEOUS, LUXURIOUS & MODERN yet would work easily in a traditional setting. It's truly like walking on a cloud. We put a .25" rug pad underneath and it's unbelievably soft and invites you to sleep on it like a heavenly bed. I love, love, LOVE it! Our Dyson upright and Dyson stick both work just fine on this rug. The super thick pile occasionally bogs the beater down on both (I know they say suction only for this style of rug, but the beater really helps 'fluff' it back up without damaging it). Spills have been easy to spot clean. Price is great. THE BAD: It quickly fades regardless of the fact that it has no direct sun exposure and 2x's+ weekly vacuuming. We assumed on the 2nd purchase that we had the last of a dye lot on the first purchase when we saw how vibrant the gray design was on the 2nd purchase. However, when we removed the old original rug, we saw that the portion under our sectional was still the deeper gray. The high traffic area also matted down quickly. Even with the bad, IMHO this rug is STILL worth the reasonable cost (even if it requires replacing every 1-2 years (depending on your habits). It's THAT cool! ADVICE: For those considering this rug, my advice is to invest in a quality rug rake (we purchased ours on Amazon) and use it before and after each vacuuming to manage matting. To try & prevent fading again, we're going to try what's found when googling 'salt water to prevent carpet fading'. UPDATE: It was a HUGE mess and didn't work on this rug so don't bother. TIP ON CURLED EDGES & CORNERS: I've read lots of reviews for all sorts of rugs where people are placing objects on the edges & corners and/or just waiting it out hoping they relax down. Some even return the product because they won't relax. If you just grab the section that's wavy or curled and bend it in the opposite direction and then squeeze and hold that for a few seconds it will release. In all rugs with this type of backing I find that within 1-3 tries as described it'll lay perfectly flat. If the mfg. is reading this review, PLEASE upgrade the dye used in this rug. If you did it would be mind blowing 10 stars! UPDATE: The 2nd rug began fading in no time and the high traffic area also began to mat down just like the first. To deal with the fading, I carefully, randomly and sparingly blotted the pattern with a black sharpie. It brought the color right back to life. After the initial fear of taking a marker to a rug it was no big deal and didn't take long at all on our 8x10 size. The marker stays in place even with regular use of high traffic area foam cleaner & lots of raking and vacuuming. Still love this rug but not the constant raking of the high traffic area. Hope this helps! I can't believe I did such a long review on a RUG! lol

I bought this rug after searching for weeks and became tired of looking at rugs. My daughter owns this exact carpet. She directed me to it as I always liked the thickness of her rug and how it has still looked new after a year of use . She has a one year old who has eaten Cheerios on it, drinks from his sippy cup, made small spills and still it looks good. It arrived on time and being it is an 8x10 it weighs a lot, ouch! It was well packaged, even with material shower bonnet type caps on both ends. It needs to be vacuumed to bring the pile back up. I have a well lit room but still it looks a beige sort of color and I can see brown yarns. When I take a photo I notice the rug is Gray in the picture but on the floor I cannot see the Gray....I would send it back but really how would you pack up a rug weighing over a hundred pounds and put it in a small car! The carpet is a great buy, over an inch in thickness, doesn't move on the wood floor with the thin carpet pad. My other smaller carpet,I bought a felt pad for under the carpet and we can all slide all over the house with that rug. The room the carpet is in has lots of sun so if you want to see the gray.....

This rug is a great addition to the living room! I am replacing my very expensive jute rug that unraveled in about 5 months. This seems much sturdier and is so plush and soft for the price. It's also a perfect shade of ivory to hide anything the dogs track in... not too bright white but still provides the brightness I was looking for. I was worried the gray would clash with the browns in the room, but it actually blends in well.

Just got this rug and I LOVE IT! I wanted to purchase the 6x9, but the 5'1" x 7' 6" was $100 less, so I couldn't justify spending that much more for a foot or so more of space.... but I'm happy with the size! Its soooo fluffy.... my cats love it already! quality looks really good... and the price was even more perfect! its already nice and flat after a day... there was a smell (like a new carpet smell) but it's already gone away. I would say you will not be disappointed with this rug!

I’ve had this rug for exactly 6 months now. As you can see from the pictures, it does look a little worn. The pattern looks blurry and it’s not as fluffy. It’s not as soft- more clumpy looking/feeling if that makes sense.. I’m going to get it professionally cleaned and see if that makes a difference. Overall it’s not bad though!
