I actually purchased two of these to go in our large open concept room. I’ve had the rugs for a little over 2 months. So far I’m very pleased! They are very soft. My neighbor thought I bought them from a high end rug store; they look that good. I did have to purchase a different vacuum clean (I needed one, anyway) because my old one was way too difficult to push across these rugs. They are quite thick! Since they have “settled down” on the floor, my Samsung robot vacuum can now go over them. I Still use my new upright, though, to get a deep clean and get all the pet hair. I use this rug in my kitchen and it’s so soft. I had to get a darker rug because I have a black hound and a brown lab - although very easy to clean, it does hide the dirt and dog hair!! It is very “bumpy” when you first lay it down but within a few days, lays flat. This was a great buy.

I needed an area rug for my dining room. When a saw this rug my jaw dropped. It looked like a perfect match for the curtains on my French doors, which are also more beautiful in person. And they look beautiful together. It's almost as though they were made for each other. My dining room looks AWESOME!!! The rug, although described as a shag, is definitely not too thick for a dining room. I also bought the curtains on Amazon. This rug is very nice. It has a nice texture. The color was a little darker brown than I expected. It is still brown but so dark that it could almost be black. That is the only reason I gave it 4 starts instead of 5. It fits perfectly under a round table (44inch top) with 4 chairs.
