This rug is pretty substantial for the price. I have a carpet pad underneath it thats about 1/4 inch thick so that adds to the feel but overall the carpet is very soft and well made. The color is great, its a true gray not purplish or bluish. When I rolled it out it had a lot of creases / wrinkles from storage but you just need to be patient, they all disappeared on their own after about 3 weeks of being laid down on the floor. So, we bought this before we got the bookshelves. Looks small now. Will reorder in bigger size. Rug is soft and nice quality. The sides need to be flattened out still.
