I have been wanting to replace my small 5x8 area rug in the living room since we repainted. I had an idea of what I was looking and saw this one. This area rug is the perfect medium gray with off white trellis design. It’s the perfect amount of shag without bringing flashbacks of the 70’s back! Keep in mind it is an area rug and won’t be thick and soft and plus like carpet. If that’s what you want you will need to get a tick pad to go underneath of it. You will also need at the minimum the rug tabs that hold the corners and the rug in place as this will slide over a hard floor surface. Again it’s an area rug and these are things you should know you will need to go with it. I laid it out over the area I wanted it at put bowling balls on the corners to flatten them out a bit and hold the rug in place to vacuum. Because it comes rolled up the fibers do get compressed and the corners and edging get a little wonky but not a big deal and that is to be expected. A good quick vacuum and boom the rug fluffed up just fine! My favorite thing about this rug other than it’s perfect for our space is how quickly it was delivered! I literally just ordered this Friday morning and it was delivered the very next afternoon! The original delivery date wasn’t until Wednesday so that was impressive! This is my 4th rug from this manufacturer - they have different levels of thickness, softness, etc. I have purchased two thick shag rugs for my living and dining room and the thinner, less dense rugs for areas that have more traffic. This purchase is for the entry way - the other rug I purchased wore out quickly so I came back to my favorite manufacturer for a new one and it does not disappoint. It is perfect for higher traffic, but yet soft enough and will be easy to vacuum easily. Due to the size and color, it makes it look twice as big . . . love the ivory and red!! So extremely happy and I knew I would be. These rugs are so much better than what I have found in stores - I do not go anywhere else anymore. Great value for the size and its purpose. It is way better quality than what I have found - my rugs have become a personality of their own in my house - all different but the same and all blend together. This rug is so cute and golden approved! Perfect for our dining area. The only thing is, we had to put something on each corner, for the ends to go flat. It kept trying to curl up when we were unrolling it. Hopefully the corners will flatten within a few hours😊
