There is no LED indicator light. This little light weight panel seems well made and does work. Specs aren't exactly accurate, though. I was able to get about 20v and .7 amps out of this panel under full sun, higher than it's rated, which is great. Now, don't worry, this isn't going to over charge your 12v battery. The reason is the low amp output. I still have to thoroughly test my unit, but so far it hasn't gone over 13v. I also adapted it to a quick disconnect set up and have 18awg marine duplex wires running through my cars firewall to the battery so that I can keep this panel inside, as well as disconnect it to run a battery charger as necessary. I also don't like SAE connectors that much. They're 'okay', but not my favorite. Overall seems like a good buy just to keep your batteries topped off during the day.

Super well constructed the panel is thicker works well everything you need comes with it and the clips that hold it to the window are fabulous they have a metal post instead of a standard suction cup this one has a metal post sticking through the suction cup that screws into place secure fit overall very impressed for the price

Pros: 5 Watt panel delivers up to 5.07 Watts in direct sunlight. It seems well made and is light weight. Cons: 1. Though the direction booklet states panel can be mounted outside or inside of windshield glass, it does not warn that wattage is reduced by about half if panel is mounted inside automotive glass. I measured approximately 2.4 Watts if placed inside car window versus 5 Watts if outside. I think this means I really need a 10 Watt panel if mounting inside to achieve 5 watt charging on a sunny day. I prefer to mount it inside to protect panel from being stolen in a long term airport parking lot. 2. Wires are 2-3 feet too short to securely mount panel under back window glass of a midsize sedan. 3. Lighted cigarette adapter draws current from car battery at night or on overcast days. This seems counterproductive for such a low power solar panel. (I have mine connected to an OBD2 to female cigarette adapter.) 4. Unfortunately the SAE connectors are opposite polarity of another brand of solar panel I have. Mixing up the accessories from the two different brands could be a problem and cause reverse polarity. Keeping this in mind and having a voltmeter on hand seems necessary to avoid a potential problem when hooking these panels up to the car battery or electrical system.
