I was pleasantly surprised by this rug. It is very plush, feels about 1.5-2 inches thick in pile. Additionally, the colors look very rich and expensive. I took a risk on this piece and am glad I did- it's terrific for my home office and looks great. We laid it upside down for a couple of days and the curls in the corners came right out and laid flat. Update: I loved this rug so much I bought it in an 11x15 for our bedroom. It is so soft and beautiful. We just love it. Holds up to traffic and dogs. Covers any spills well with the abstract pattern. Beautiful and looks great in the space. The gold designs aren't metallic paint like I thought. They are a golden mustard color if you brush them one direction but change to a metallic looking light gold shimmery color if you brush it in the opposite direction if that makes sense. The grey is very light and mixed with a charcoal grey. We get so many compliments it's so glam. We ordered runners as well to match. Looks expensive and Safavieh has some of the best rugs. Not sure what other people are complaining about but I like it a lot. Especially, the price as I searched for other rugs before deciding on this one and these types are so expensive. The rug has no dents, nor curls up at the corners like some do. Surprisingly enough, it doesn't shift on our porcelain tiles which was a concern.
